Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted November 4, 2013 Showmasters Admin Share Posted November 4, 2013 Latest Guest Announcement - Robert Rankin Attending: SAT/SUN Roberts books are a mix of science fiction, fantasy, the occult, urban legends, running gags, metafiction, steampunk and outrageous characters. According to the (largely fictional) biography printed in some editions of his books, Rankin refers to his style as 'Far Fetched Fiction' in the hope that bookshops will let him have a section to himself. Many of Rankin's books are bestsellers. ROBERT Rankin's latest book - The Chickens of Atlantis and other Foul and Filthy Fiends - is the fourth and final in his Victorian series (The Japanese Devil Fish Girl, The Mechanical Messiah and The Educated Ape) and is the autobiography of a time-travelling Victorian monkey butler. He launched this last installment of the adventures of Darwin (the aforementioned monkey butler) at the Winter London Film and Comic Con this year, and will also be signing copies of his most recent illustrated book - Alice on Mars - which is shortly to be made into a feature length motion picture at Collectormania

GoldenGreen
I've seen Robert has been there so many times at shows over the years, but never met him, so this weekend I think I may well take the opportunity to finally meet him.
enil8rts
One could also mention that Robert Rankin is a graphic artist - the cover of the book was drawn by him, getting one of his books is to get a mini artwork as the dedication - I was mesmerized at LFCC watching him sign for others, I just had to get one for myself!
