  1. I said what I wanted to say on the FB announcement for SMs "Some facts not fiction or drama" post and I'm going to try not to repeat myself. Our experience of the eent was horrendous. Friday queuing was ridiculous and the whole of Saturday was downright dangerous. Sunday fared better although it started to feel very clustered again around lunchtime (that may come from some anxiety after Saturday). I didn't get most things I went for, and couldn't get near any of the stalls until Sunday. I felt terrible for everyone who was left outside in the heat and my experience was so bad, that I had to be convinced to go on Sunday and that was despite me already having a talk ticket for Stan Lee. The queuing for that talk was also terrible. We were told to start another queue near where Stan was signing and it cut across another one that snaked from the super stage itself. It was to follow on from the original queue. We were somewhere near the middle of the whole queue and were rushed in BEFORE the people who we had cut across. I felt terrible, some of them had been queuing for over an hour and as a result they ended up sitting at the back, while we were somewhere in the middle. I think there were some misleading announcements on the forum too regarding the trailerfest, and the autograph raffle for the Sherlock preview. Showmasters weren't prepared despite the fact they knew what to expect. Inviting such big guests to the event, announcing that they expected 80,000 people to come over the weekend (call it 30,000 for Sat and Sun each and 20,000 for Friday). The venue only holds 15,000ish. I assume they thought that everyone who attended would leave at some point allowing the other attendees to go in which was reckless. As many people have already said, they advertised it as the biggest event ever, but were never going to be up to the job. Many people on the forum expressed concern over whether certain guests were going to be able to live up to all the commitments being made and it was just glossed over, on the day those people were proven right. My last comment on this goes to the moderators and DavidB, you guys do a great job, I might not agree with the methods sometimes, but you do it voluntarily and don't deserve the flack you guys get (the same goes for the crew-not their fault many of them were very poorly trained and they still tried their best). However, Jason might not want to respond to the attendees yet for whatever reason, but if he had an ounce of respect for you guys he would because you are all holding the fort and taking the stick and anger from people when you have no control and it isn't your fault. What he did do was add fuel to the fire for you lot to put out by putting up THAT message. I hope I haven't offended anybody, but I want those accountable to own up and explain themselves.
  2. Could someone please confirm if Stan is going to attend tomorrow? It will decide whether we bother or not as we have talk tickets for him. We aren't even going to attempt the other things we had planned after Friday seemingly being just as busy as any other day (rather than being a quieter preview) and todays dangerous fiasco.I will completely understand if he doesn't attend as we had a photoshoot with him at about 4.30 today and to say he looked knackered would be an understatement.
  3. Last year we were somewhere in the middle of the audience and had an amazing time. This year I think were something like 27 and 28 so really pleased. We still talk about last years commentary, definitely worth paying for and if you are a Game of Thrones fan, you really will enjoy it wherever you sit :)
  4. Daniel is lovely, really chatty :) Can't believe you're coming up with all these last minute guests SM XD
  5. Cheers for the clarification Too Tall, I'm sure there are a few of us breathing a sigh of relief now :)
  6. Fridays are usually quieter and I am always surprised how much I actually get done in the 3 hours. It really depends, Stan Lee is going to be crazy busy all weekend I reckon, although he is only signing for just over an hour on Friday, there might be fewer people wanting his autograph as a percentage compared to Saturday... It really is a guessing game.
  7. I was wondering if the price for the EJO/Jamie Bamber double photoshoot had been announced? I'm just wanting to try and budget and this might decide whether I go in the queue for EC1 or EC2 on Friday :)
  8. Any ideas which of the Stan Lee Photoshoots are the "extra" one that was added after the others sold out on the saturday? I assume it's the last one in the day. Also any idea of when the newly added double photo shoot prices will go up? Sorry to be a pain, but I am so tempted by the Bamber/Olmos double
  9. That is for all talks. Thanks for the quick reply :)
  10. I have read the posts and don't think it has been asked but sorry if it has, if you have a paid ticket, is it seated by number i.e. Row 1 1-50, row 2 51-100 ? Or is that just the Game of Thrones commentary (if that is the same like last year)?
  11. Stupid question warning... Do we need to get separate tickets from somewhere for the preview first before going to get the raffle ticket as we go in, or is it just a case of queue up and go straight in with the raffle ticket?
  12. Thanks for the info, this really helps to plan out the weekend
  13. Everything we wanted to book has been booked, hotel and travel booked and paid for, hair needs to be dyed and hopefully cut before the event
  14. These are great, I had the Tardis shoot at Milton Keynes and it looks ace. I will probably be getting another Iron throne one and definitely be getting a SW emperors throne one! I really wish you guys could get Ludo again. It was able to be at LFCC last time and I couldn't make it to the winter one (where I think it ended up) and would LOVE to have that photo. Good job though
  15. I hope it's a Stark from Game of Thrones! Cary Elwes would always make my day week month be awesome!
  16. Our first LFCC was for 3rd wedding anniversary, been celebrating our anniversary there for the last 3 years :) We were invited to MK he year before and loved it, caught the bug. Was heavily pregnant for our first anniversary or we would have gone for that one This will be our 5th wedding anniversary and our 3rd LFCC
  17. I try to make sure my hair has been recently dyed and I do a bit more makeup (more outlandish rather than caking on slap). That's about it :)
  18. Brilliant! He's always a pleasure to see, really lovely funny man, and his books are great!
