Artist Alley & J-Culture Zone

Recommended Posts

New to the Artist Alley this year will be a selection of J-culture stalls and attractions to check out the best of Japan. More information to come on this.

ARTIST ALLEY

In addition to the Comics Zone, there will also still be the Artists Alley for amateur comic & manga artists to chill out, draw and meet other artists. No experience required and absolute beginners are more than welcome!

At the very front of the Artist Alley resides the Art Wall that will be up throughout the day for you to pin your artwork to. The top three pieces of artwork as judged by our panel of professionals at the end of the day will win prizes!

There shall be numerous events, talks, panels and workshops going on throughout the day. This shall include a Doll Meet, portfolio building workshops, an all-day comics strip which everyone can contribute to, figure-drawing classes and much much more!

Im really interested in the Artist Alley but it sounds very specific to the comic book and manga audience. Has anyone gone to this before and know if they take any style of artwork.

Also the Artists Showcase sounds great. I'll bring along some stuff and hope to sell it :)

I've normally paid the Artists Alley a visit in the last couple of years, some really great artwork and both myself and my son have a go, think it's good that everyone can have a try and a good area to chill out a bit from the rest of the chaos.
