Yes, this is true. It wasn't specifically mentioned that this is a Gold Ticket only thing from what I recall, so it should apply for standard as well. And I take it this can be your personal item if wanted? Yes, this can be your personal item if you want. But you don't have to take it as your personal item, it is just an option.
