I'm confused, why does the server crashing get met by management with such delight?

Every time big announcements are advertised – 350 to 400 people log on to read them, and the server packs up?

These aren't even very big numbers?

Any other business would consider this very much a problem. Why doesn't Showmasters / Autographica?

Isn’t it time for an upgrade, so it doesn’t happen again?

Nice Spacemen though Dave!. :D

I think its a bit of a nostalgia thing as much as anything. I seem to remember when I first started coming on here announcements were always done in this way and the server crashed every time. SM then started doing announcements overnight but when they did that I'm sure I can remember several threads from people saying they missed the old server crash type announcements.
