As far as I know, the Doctor has never met Sherlock Holmes (be an interesting story though, seeing that he never existed!) Maybe the Doctor could get stuck in another "land of fiction?" I think he did meet Arthur Conan Doyle though, if memory serves.. there wasn't a story about ACD but im sure the doc mentioned meeting him once..
