  1. Jenny is Jenny Miller these days, I wrote to her a few years back for an autograph after I found an internet article on her Star Wars appearance. It was at a school. - Showmasters please get in touch with me if you would like the last known address I had for her - Paul
  2. An excellent day, really good to meet some new guests. I was a bit worried in the car park as I saw Tommy Weldin walk around for a while then get back in his car and drive off ! Just posted a few photographs / autograph scans from today. http://www.paulrowley.com/empireday.htm
  3. Now you know why Han Solo called him 'goldenrod'
  4. Depending on which story you believe, it's either a misprint or someone was playing a joke when the printing of the vintage green border Topps cards was happening. It was quickly withdrawn (no pun intended) and replaced with the non-offensive version. Here's a link to the card with the offending appendage - http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=...ard&sa=N&tab=wi
  5. I'll put it in the next one, will be at the beginning of March. I didn't know she was also in The Phantom Menace until we did the interview, all will be revealed soon.....
  6. As requested in another post, I've uploaded the image for you to see at - http://www.paulrowley.com/carrie.htm I've also put a link to some of my Star Wars interviews on that page. Some of you read the Michael Sheard one a few months back, there's now also interviews with Frazer Diamond (Jawa) and Gerald Home (Squidhead) that you might enjoy (free pdf downloads as part of Penny Mix - retro e-book ).
  7. I know that Anthony won't sign that green card. When I met him last year I had a vintage green card for him to sign and the people taking the money made sure that it wasn't that one. He has a great name and shame section on his website for fake autographs, worth a look. I saw a classic Dave Prowse fake on a certain auction site the other week, it was signed by "David Prowes" ! £2, but I passed on it.
  8. You won't find Andy's signature on any Star Wars autograph collector's site. We've all tried via the BBC, his publishers etc...
  9. Nice guest announcements, looking forward to meeting them. If you want anymore first time convention signers, here’s a list of some original trilogy Star Wars people who have signed for me recently. To my knowledge, none of these have appeared at a convention. All are fairly easy to find using Spotlight or a Google search ( all are UK based ) :- A New Hope --------------- Peter Geddis – Captain Antilles Colin Higgins – Rebel Pilot –“that’s impossible, even for a computer†George Leech – Rebel Trooper Harry Fielder – Death Star Trooper Burnell Tucker - Del Goren, Wyron Serper – A New Hope / Empire George Roubicek – Commander Praji Sadie Eden – Reegesk (Rat Alien in Cantina) The Empire Strikes Back ------------------------------ Jim Dowdall – Stunts / Bespin guard in Solo’s cell Stuart Fell – Snowtrooper Jerry Harte – Hoth Controller Mark Jones - Commander Nemet Doug Robinson – Stunts / Snowtrooper Return Of The Jedi ----------------------- Vic Armstrong – Han Solo stunts, all 3 original movies Paul Brooke – Rancor Keeper Paul Weston – Stunts / Nikto Lynne Hazelden – Karie Neth (Rebel Pilot) Phil Herbert – Hermi Oodle William Hoyland – Commander Igar Hilton Mcrae – A Wing pilot Nick Read – Ewok, in “shot Ewok†scene I’m sure many Star Wars fans would like to meet them. There are of course many more overseas people, some who have only recently started signing such as Erik Bauersfeld (voice of Ackbar and Bib Fortuna) and Mark Dodson (Salacious Crumb voice). Would it be possible to also invite Tommy Weldin (Geela Yeens) and Sally Sinclair (Brindy), also on the books of EDITED to remove name of organisation not affiliated with Showmasters? If you could get Andy Cunningham (Ephant Mon) to appear, I'd be more than impressed. Thanks, Paul
  10. Thanks for your comments, glad you liked it. More next month ! Paul
  11. Hi, If anyone is interested, I have just posted an interview online with the late Michael Sheard that took place in February this year. It's not been made publicly available before now. It was conducted by a friend of mine and is part of our free online retro book 'Penny Mix - The Story of 1975 - 1985'. We also have a number of other interviews completed from other people from the Star Wars galaxy including - Gerald Home ( Tessek and The Mon Calamari Officer ) Kiran Shah ( Ewok ) Barrie Holland ( Lieutenant Renz ) Richard Bonehill ( Snowtrooper, Ree Yees and various Nunbs ) Lynne Hazelden ( Karie Neth - Rebel Pilot ) Frazer Diamond ( Jawa ) These will all be online in the following months. It's available (free) at http://www.paulrowley.com/pennymix.htm You'll just need Acrobat Reader to view it (again free). Paul
  12. Mike Quinn did the puppet work on Ree Yees and Nien Nunb. Richard is most definitely the actor behind these 2 characters. Nien Nunbs role was only expanded later in filming to include the Falcon scenes. Oh, and Noddy - if you are saying people who know character names should get a life, you are in the wrong place. Maybe you would like to shout that in the middle of the signing hall in 2 weeks ?
  13. Great news. Richard was also the actor behind Ree Yees, Nien Nunb, Ten Numb and the Rebel security person Major Palo Torshan.
  14. Andy Cunningham - The guy who played Ephant Mon in Jabba's Palace. I don't think he's ever signed. Also the person behind the puppet show Bodger and Badger ! Also - William Hootkins, Michael Pennington, John Hollis, Richard Bonehill (he played Nien Nunb, Ten Numb, Ree Yees, Hoth Soldier amongst others. Has only signed in Japan so far )
