One question: Is the hotel informed? I sent them a cancellation of my reservation, mentioning that the whole event is cancelled but so far they didn't answer.....

This simply sucks! *sniffs and joins Strider in drinking* As much as I enjoyed German Ring con, unfortunately Dirk was never able to get David Wenham and probably never will......

Well I've always figured non-refundable rooms were exactly that .. I don't know the terms/conditions of it. I'm sure you can contact them if/when it's necessary and find out. They are I lost out on a weekend worth of hotel costs when LFCC was changed. No amount of pleading got my money back. I had a little whine for about two posts and then just moved along. hmmm, so far the Radisson hasn't charged my credit card although I do have a guranteed reservation. What about the rest of you? Did you already pay? I find that with high end hotels they only charge on check-in or check-out depending if your wrecked your room! However if you DON'T check-in thats when they may charge us (if another show gets cancelled) so if it does get cancelled than cancel your credit card LOL sounds like a plan! But I still hope it won't be cancelled at all!!!!

Hi folks, please just calm down! I'm quite sure that we all want the same...in the end....just suffering from different levels of frustration But why not put every effort in making it work? What would we loose by that? some energy...okay....but is this so bad.... And Jason, you'll probably laugh at me...but what about some sponsors ?

hmm....you have a point there! I can't do anything about the booking personally, since I already bought a gold ticket way back in time.... But I'll tell the others....you know, if there won't be any refund or an event without David, I wouldn't have any friends left afterwards....

huh ? Me and my friend had the total opposite impression (at Collectormania as well). David was incredibly sweet, charming, talked and joked a lot with us. And I saw clips from the ORC in California early this year, which he attented. His panel was hilarious, so funny. This guy has a talent not to take himself too serious!!!! I wish I would have been able to go there....but I had so many hopes for this UK event.

WTF! Sorry to say this but you have to be kidding. After months of silence, you finally made some kind of annoucement last night and instantly dismiss it again? What do you expect? A thousand more bookings within 12 hours? Enthusiastic cheering because of an insecure statement..... If I had known that you'd give up so easily, I wouldn't have crossposted like an idiot last night to activate all the other 299 wenham fans. Get a grip! There are still weeks to go.....

well, I have already booked...but if you'll get David you will make me avery very lucky girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'll tell all his fans on the respective boards and I'm sure that a lot of them will book, too!

Absolutely! When I asked showmasters for a written confirmation of my booked and paid ticket...they said they won't send it out before some time prior to the event. I'm definitely used to another handling from German another show... so Dirk ?

I only hope there'll be single rooms available too....

Oh my.......it took at least 2 weeks until the word reached me..... booked a flight immediately.....I only hope he won't cancel...like last year in Germany..... Btw, I still have no idea what this whole event is about Saw his face on your site and that simply was enough....and no, I'm not obsessed ;-P
