  1. Just what I noticed I have a huge biggie qn for SM, TT or any con regular... (And I take it the answer will be a no to which I'll be rather annoyed as this was one of my main reasons for going) Will the one day guests with photoshoots have the photos back in time to get them signed later? For Craig, the timings for this don't look possible, and obv he's the main dude!! Very sucky From what I recall at The Hub & Chevron events the photos were back in the afternoon of the day the day they were taken. As this is a slightly smaller event it may be possible that they will be back sooner...probably unlikely though. The only way I can see a chance of Craig's being back ready for signing is if his phtoshoot is moved forward to first thing.
  2. thanks for that advice...... im really panicking now tho...train gets in at 0845 i have 15 minutes to get to the event and register and photoshoot with Chloe and will also have luggage with me....im doomed I wouldn't panic too much. I imagine that you would be allowed to join in with one of the other gorups of Chloes photoshoot if your train is late etc. As with all events all the timings are approximate. The photoshoots may run late. The signings times will change as well due to how fast the guest gets through them. I think someone (can't recall who) at the Hub2 managed to get through their two day signings in the first day. EDIT: I need to type faster!
  3. Hope this helps. First work out which group you belong to. I will use mine as an example. - Silver 3 which is in group 5. Loolking at the schedule I have a photo shoot with Chloe between 9.15 and 9.30 on Saturday morning. Then one with Robert Llewellyn at 10.00-10.15 The singings work in a similar way to the VT tickets at other events. You can go and see a guest at any point after your group time has past. So for Chloe I can go any time after 9.45 on the Saturday, with Hattie it is any time after 12.30 and so on. If you don't get to a guest one day and your group has been called then you can see them the following day at any time (assuming the guest is attending both days that is! Lunch is at 12.45 for an hour. After that everyone sits in the main hall for the talk sessions which run all afternoon (with small breaks in between), including Kryton Factor (which sounds intriguing). This works the same way for Sunday as well. The only thing you need to keep an eye on is your photoshoot times. Priortize them over the guest signings. You can go back for an autograph later but once the photshoot has finished that is it Correct. At previous events there has been a limit on the number of items you can get signed the first time you go down (four I think...). Then once everyone else has had chance to see a guest, you are allowed to go back to get an extras you may want. You carry a ticklist around with you that gets marked the first time you see a guest so that a track can be kept. You also get one for the photoshoots where appropriate.
  4. I am thinking questions, puzzles, brain teasers etc, and finished off with an assault course, all hosted by Robert Llewellyn
  5. Karl Urban for me as well. Nailed McCoy perfectly.
  6. You are welcome to borrow it if/when I get it
  7. Wasn't she just? Totally gorgeous and lovely to chat to. Was lucky enough to get a photo with her at the table in MK too. Saw some earlier posts saying she wasn't allowing that. Guess it must have been the friday which is normally fairly quiet and you stand a better chance. Gorgeous and lovely to chat to - agreed I had a photo over the table with her as well. Just checked (was it really 2007...wow!) and it was the Friday morning. Also had a photshoot on the Saturday. Ah...good times!
  8. It is pink. A very bright pink. Which Kris Du Berg has guessed correctly I would suggest carrying on with your question though. Partly because it's supposed to be your turn. Partly because I heard it in one of the episodes I watched recently...I can't remember which one though!!!
  9. Nice pic's. My favourite is the decapitated panda . I saw that as well. I spent the next 30 mins keeping an eye out for a headless panda wandering about
  10. I have had a look and can't find one either. Not sure if 'Emissary' is kept up to date any more. It doesn't look like it. Assuming we are looking at the same site of course!
  11. I am guessing Milly123 has not been back on since so I will chuck in a quick easy one if no-one minds. What colour suit is the Cat wearing when he is first seen in 'The End'?
  12. I have been watching random epsiodes over the last couple of weeks. I bet quite a few people have! I've rewatched all of them over the past couple of weeks Finished today well done!. I have rewatched all of 1, 7 and 8 plus a few randoms from the rest. Aiming to watch as many of the remainder as possible tomorrow
  13. Great - will be good to see him I have been watching random epsiodes over the last couple of weeks. I bet quite a few people have!
  14. Same thing happened on Sunday as well. It is rather dependant on the politness of the people in the queue. With the right people it works great, the Brandon Routh queue at CM11, for example, was very civilised. The second photographer's name is Danielle. It's way less photos at the other event, simply because it's less fans and the number of guests is smaller. Also last time I was there it was a surprisingly small amount of fans who actually wanted the files. $ 10 per picture can add up quickly. We'll see, maybe some point in the future we'll see something similar established at Showmasters events. Sorry - just saw your reply - thanks. Note to self - must come over and say hello as I keep seeing you (especially when you are wearing long furry ears!). You are not alone in that thought. A definite buzz about the place! Another DS9 fan here I am going to stop replying to people now and watch the rest of the footie!
  15. I like cookies . Need to learn to type faster though
  16. Kris, We skipped it because it was to hard. I would watch the eps again to find out but I have not had the labotomy yet so I am unquallified to watch them. Please ask us something easier like what colour is Red Dwarf? Erm, yellow? Kris - can we have a clue please? It's a well known department store chain John Lewis in Kingston. An episode of Primeval was also filmed there. Can't remember if it was series 1 or 2 but it was the one with the velociraptors
  17. At the event I know of the photographer does actually send out the files by e-mail (or burns them on CD at the show) himself. He gets to keep the money. Wonder if Malcolm and the other photographer (sorry - I don't know her name!) would be interested in doing something similar. Not sure if they would have time to burn CD's at the event due to how busy they are taking photos (I am guessing the other photographer either has less photos to deal with or has some help). Thinking about it they are probably busy working during the week as well so depending on how many would want digital copies it may not be feasible without extra help. Hopefully it will happen at some point. Would be great if it did!
  18. I enjoyed meeting John. The first person I saw on Friday morning and he was quite chatty. Bummer that the weather meant we didn't get chance to see his talk as I am sure it would have been very entertaining. He quite happily posed for a photo with first me and then my brother, even though he had been blinded by the flash from the previous person in the queue (we didn't use a flash btw). I did see him again late Saturday and to be fair he seemed tired and wasn't as chatty but still very polite. He looked much rested and refreshed for the photoshoot the following morning. I also saw him talk to random people when he was off on his walks. I am guessing some guests find it easier/harder to be on top form all day long for three days. He is only human and not a Q . Unfortunately some people may meet a guest during these 'down periods'. I would quite happily see John again.
  19. Scan it in. Done. Scanning will get you a good copy (depending on the quality of your scanner) but it is not exactly the same as the original copy. It is not as sharp and unless you have a dedicated colour managemnt workflow (scanner-monitor-printer) it will have a different colour cast. Had first hand expericence of this at one of the previous Midlands events when I came to collect my 'day one' photoshoot with Nicola Bryant on the second day to find that it had been left locked up securely off site. Oops . Malcolm very kindly provided me with a digital copy there and then in case I didn't receive the printed version in the post. Which, of course, I later did. One scan later and there are definite visible differences in the quality. I do recall not so long ago someone mentioning that another event in America does give you the option of having a digital copy for a small reasonable fee. I am guessing the photographer is happy with this. Not sure if he retains the copyright or not in these circumstances. If Showmasters (and Maclolm) would consider providing a similar service then I for one would use it. Like the pre-order for Autographs it would be there if you wanted to make use of it. Not sure the best way of working it. You could be told your exact photo number duiring the photoshoot and place your order at the show. This would slow down the actual phtoshoot process slightly. Maybe a better way would be - after the event low res versions of all photos could be uploaded onto the website, you find yours, and then place your order for delivery via CD or e-mail.
  20. Great. Always felt that Bossk should have had more screen time. Will now have the chance to ask Alan if there were any scenes were filmed but later dropped from the film
  21. Excellent. Dates added to my diary Part of the same company but a different venue from LFaCC that is quite close to Earls Court http://www.eco.co.uk/visitors/travel/map/
