  1. I think Richard O'Brien is one of those types who gets uppity about being associated for something that detracts from his distinguished career. I mean, come off it folks - he's earned far more respect from his peers for his roles in Flash Gordon and The Crystal Maze than he ever did for that romp!
  2. I think a reunion at a CM/LFCC would be the best idea. Film/Show specific cons seem to have had varying levels of success.
  3. Well, his name being mentioned usually gives him an excuse to pop up in a thread, so I'm sure he'll be along soon enough! As for my Georgie Georgie Best line, Yahweh - it doesn't really work on here. You see what happened at the end of that rap is that we suddenly spring into Three lions by Frank Skinner, his Jewish Friend and that Broudie chap, replacing the shirt with chest and then rhyming to the chest with Georgie Georgie Best. Trust me, it works and it is very cool to make such adaptations - even when doing so on a forum where nobody will truly understand how it works.
  4. Generally it's when the guest tells you that You've got to hold or give, but do it at the right time You can be slow or fast, but you must get to the line They'll always hit you and hurt you, defend or attack There's only one way to beat them, get round the back Catch me if you can cos I'm an England Man And what you're looking at is the masterplan I ain't no hooligan, this ain't no football song Three Lions on my chest, Georgie Georgie Best....
  5. Both Dave Prowse and Kenny Baker will be massively popular as they always are. I think some people really don't realise just how big a deal these guys are. I'd like Peter Mayhew and Warwick Davies to be announced for CM London as well - met them both a few times before, but would do so again. These guys are the staple of events like this in the UK, and long may that continue!
  6. Or, how about, no? You've got Archie, surely that's enough? Actually, can we have Gazza and Colin Hendry? I'd pay money for that sweaty to sign his dour face while Gazza makes him look like the complete muptard that he was! Or can we have Uri and Gary Mac?
  7. Sadly, that last part really is not possible. There's 2 who definitely can't be there (God rest their souls), and 1 who won't be there through choice. Hunt and Peters are the only others who could possibly attend from the 11. I'm sure there are a lot of other squad members though that SM could invite. Ron Springett, Peter Bonetti, etc. Jimmy Greaves is, of course, already there.
  8. Jedi Master Sifo Dyas was killed nearly ten years ago.
  9. Cool. Any chance of Peters and Hunt as well? And any chance of a group photo shoot?
  10. I was just wondering what number other thinks we'll get to. In the days and prices thread I've counted 60 film and tv guests across the weekend. I've not been to a CM London before, but can anyone hazard a guess as to how many more guests we may get? Oh, and I'd rather not have the "SM keep adding guests so who knows" or "SM are trying to add guests all the time" lines. Come on - let's speculate!
  11. I remember that documentary but have not seen it in years. As a kid it was the only Star Wars we had on Betamax. Needless to say, it was watched time and again by me and my brothers. I need to see if I can find it online somewhere. Anyone know if it's on Youtube or anything?
  12. Joined the Dark Side, Fooku has. Lies, deceit, creating mistrust are his ways now. You might say that.. I couldn't possibly comment... Booya! You really, really should cut down on your caffeine intake...
  13. Joined the Dark Side, Fooku has. Lies, deceit, creating mistrust are his ways now. As opposed to the new premiere?
  14. Well, whether you are or not, they are probably the 4 biggest guests ever.
  15. Love the comment about Blackwood - very true. Anyway, while on the subject of Stalkers - has anyone seen Keith?
  16. Nothing works for Tammy. Now now.. Posted a reply earlier agreeing with lukeowl's position. The html seemed to look ok, but for some reason, it didn't come through for that long retort to Tammy's hissy fit. Seems that my link crashed... so the message got lost. Btw, is BOLD type the news CAPS LOCK SHOUTING Netiquette? Btw, If I suggested that the show might get a bit crazy if Tom Cruise signed up for CM or LFCC, would that imply I'm a stalker? You mean you aren't a stalker?
  17. Yahweh, I think you need to learn how to use the quote function properly and perhaps not spend so much time on posting a reply to someone who clearly isn't worth spending that time on. What say you? Regards, Luke
  18. I think there is a real gap for SM and Autographica to exploit - Music. There really should be more of a representation for that medium of entertainment at events. I know that at the first Autographica I attended Pete Best was there. I'd like to see more rock legends incorporated into future events. So, how about the likes of; Phil May and Dick Taylor of The Pretty Things. Rod Argent of The Zombies Roger Waters Sir George Martin Johnny Echols of Love (has also worked with many greats - Hendrix, Little Richard, Miles Davis) I know that there is absolutely loads of scope to work with, but a lot of these guys from the golden age of rock and pop aren't getting any younger and I do think that they would be popular at Autographica type of events - where film, science and military history is celebrated so well, yet music barely gets a look in. How about it SM/Dave? They'd make for great talks as well - I'm sure a lot of musicians from the peripheral acts of the day will have loads of great stories to tell about the like s of the Beatles and the Stones, and any other top acts they may have crossed paths with. I know it's unlikely we'll get some of the big, big stars - and I'm sure I've been overly optimistic in suggesting the likes of George Martin and Roger Waters, but I do think some musicians from that era would be up for doing an even like this. And I do think they would prove really popular. I'd be interested to hear others thoughts/suggestions on this - especially those of SM and Dave? Thanks.
