  1. That would be a dream guest for many space collectors. He has only participated in one (mailed in items) signing and the base fee was as I recall $495 per autograph with extras for mission inscription, personalisation, inscription and a premium for crew completions and multi-signed items. Not sure how many would be able or willing to pay around £280 for one single autograph at a show ! Ah. I didn't know that. I'm guessing he'd only be invited if he charged a lot less than that Otherwise as you say, doubt he'd be too busy. Hope they get him one day. No problem. If Dave & Garry could get him to attend and charge a similar fee as Buzz Aldrin last year I'm sure there wouldn't be too much trouble in keeping JY busy!

  3. Dave Scott did attend though could only make it for the Saturday. He spent time meeting the other space guests, getting their autographs and attended the lectures of Carpenter, Gordon, Duke and Lousma. To the best of my knowledge no-one asked him for HIS autograph .
  4. Fred Haise does not do commercial signings... if you want to meet him you'll need to travel to an event such as the AHOF induction in Florida.
  5. I bought a slightly dinged signed photograph of Buzz on the moon (who also added Apollo 11) on Astro-Auction earlier this year. The damage is only noticeable when you hold the photograph to the light at an obscure angle and at £18 including shipping it was a bargain. I'd like to have 3 items signed for my own personal collection but to be honest there's no way I can justify spending £300 on three signatures so I will only get one item signed and if there is an additional fee for signing a multi-signed piece then I'm just not going to bother.
  6. Where does his autograph "go" for $350? You check websites such as www.astro-auction.com and certain Space autograph dealer websites and you'll find that even at $180 it can be difficult to sell his (basic) autograph. Someone somewhere on this forum suggested Buzz's autograph was worth £250 which is about $430... also at the UACC show in NJ his base fee was $150 or £87 at todays exchange rate. It'll only be one item for me.
  7. Not trying to be picky with my first post but an Aldrin signed on the moon photograph's value is circa $180-$250 or about £100. I think any guest, even one as distinguished as Dr. Aldrin should be dissuaded from charging much more than £75. Remember that even at £75 it would be 3 times more expensive than any previous Autographica guests. Just my tuppence-worth. Regards, Derek P.S. Garry and Dave put on a GR8T show!!!
