LFCC Talk and Photo Schedule
discodiva replied to Too Tall's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Zach had old tickets sold as far as I remember, so that will be tight. As posted like 2 dozen times already, you can go any time after your number/group/batch has been called. Sorry I have literally just come in from outside and went to the last page after the first without reading through the rest .. ..no worries...means I can get my autos and other stuff out the way first.....even with my wonderful husband offering to drive me to the O2 I cannot get up that early for just a one day ticket/visit... -

I have a non-batch numbered E-ticket for a Sunday Richard Dean Anderson Photo Op There is NO way I'll make the 9.30 a.m. shoot from where I'm coming from... ....will I be able to have it at the later afternoon one that day with this particular ticket? -
Tonights Announcement update
discodiva replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
This, this and THIS!!....why not get the deal finalised, THEN post...or if you have to give everyone a warning that something big will becoming up do it quickly to the announcement going up so we don't get this tedious guessing game for days.... For me it doesn't actually seem very professional but rather childish and schoolyard behaviour - "I got a secret that you don't know" sort of stuff....puts me off coming back to the forum after an announcement like this is made ....ymmv but that's my humble opinion... -

I hate using apps on my phone and want to use the web......obviously I realise that you have to upgrade but seriously waiting till less than 24 hours before an important guest sales go up is rather short-sighted imho........ -

Exactly...who thought this would be a good idea to change just about 24 hours when probably a load of fans, especially those of us who missed out first time, will be desperate to get on to buy the RDA photo op tickets...demand will be high, tempers will be frayed and once again it shows imho poor planning and foresight by those behind the scenes..... -

I do hope this isn't going to beggar up the RDA photo shoots tomorrow...god knows they should realise that there will be heavy traffic on that site then... -

I hope this is going to be ok for Thursday night's sale of the 2nd batch of RDA tickets.. I am NOT technologically adept and have never used this new process before... I am concerned I will miss out again... -
RDA has some very very dedicated fans...I know of at least one person who has bought photo ops on all 3 days.....and have known those that will quite happily buy 2 or 3 for the same session.....have also seen fans buy 2-3 autographs for each session on each day, so as to maximise talking time with him (and other guests) .... And have experienced the inconvenience of being the next person in the queue, hovering and hovering whilst watching the handler try desperately to move them on... So no, I'm not surprised.......with the UK and Europe still having a very large batch of SG1 and MacGyver fans.... I just hope those who have already bought "in bulk" per se, are considerate enough to realise that many are waiting to just buy their one measly photo op on the 2nd round....

Showmasters shops moving to e-Ticketing system!
discodiva replied to Too Tall's topic in General chat
"Per Order"? As in say, 1 order of 2 entry tickets, a couple of photo ops = £2.50 for the lot Or 1 photo op = £2.50 - another photo op = £2.50 - 1 entry ticket = £2.50 - another entry ticket = £2.50 = Total - £10.00 for total order... -
They did something a little like this many years ago at the Milton Keynes show when James Marsters was there. Not sure exactly which show but it was either 2007 or 2008. The queues were massive, VTs off the scale but there was a crew member at the end of the queue selling pre-signed 10x8s. Only time I'm aware it's happened as I got one as I was really late getting there. Not sure how I feel about it really. Surely the whole point is to go and meet the guest but I took one as there was no chance of me meeting him that day. But it's not a lot different to buying from a dealer. Very impersonal and I'd rather meet the guest to know it's genuine and have that experience. It's not entirely just about the autograph for me otherwise I'd just pre-order everything I wanted. But with your idea what if the only time someone could join the queue to meet them was during the period that this "hand out" thing was going on? Wouldn't really be fair would it? It's often towards the end of the day when queues go open and it's easier for anyone to actually go and meet the guest. Maybe something to think about though. My thoughts are pretty much exclusively for the busiest guests who have queues all day and that people miss, there are usually 3/4 of these guests each show but probably more this year with all the people. It would also be like a photo shoot very fast but at least you would see the guest not givin out by a crew member. Get that but often hard to judge who is going to have the biggest queues all day so hard to know who to do it for. I don't think anyone would have thought Summer would be quite so busy for example and there's been plenty of "big" guests in the past who you've just been able to walk up to later in the day. David Tennant, Gillian Anderson, Karl Urban, Matt Smith even are a few that spring to mind. All busy initially but much quieter later in the day. Karen Gillan at her first LFCC appearance was busy all day but went open queue for about 10mins at the end. But then at her next appearance at Milton Keynes, I just walked up later in the day without needing a VT. Not killing the idea but it's almost impossible to guess who will be or won't be so busy that it would justify it. I saw her sitting with an empty desk for quite a while somewhere else in the year
