The organisation is called the UACC where anyone can be a member by paying a subscription fee. Within the UACC they have a group known as Registered dealers, there are just over 200 of these in the World. A registered dealer has to be a member for at least 3 years before being considered for a position as a registered dealer, then their stock is checked and then monitored. If buying autographs and you see the name UACC it will pay not to confuse the two, with a reg dealer you at least get a money back guarantee should a mistake be made.

I started a thread a while ago saying SMs had put their prices up, but Mick from MSPG (ID: Mister Sparkle on this forum) posted explaining that their mark-up was now £10. Since he has direct contact with SMs, taking £10 off the prices on the site should be a pretty gospel guide ..... Sorry I hadnt read this reply first

If it helps, the pre orders on my site are £10 more than they expected to be. It will give you a rough guide.

Most Hotels do offer that facility if you ask them. It could be another option.

Dufrense I would like to clarify the situation for you. The pre-order section on MSPG, is a service for those people that cannot get to the show, either through illness or distance. You were correct when you said the charge for the service was £5, that has now changed and we raised it to £10, that is whether you wanted the image dedicated or not. By all means check the site for a fair indication of what a guest may be charging, but until show day it is only an approximation. In the case of Alan Cumming he will be £20 on the day. Hope that makes things a bit clearer. Mick@mspg Thanks for clearing that up Mick. I wasn't stirring or anything, just trying to speculate on prices, and I fully respect the service you provide ! But if it's "only approximation" until show day, how do you go on to know Alan will be £20.00 ? It's just with all this talk of SMs finances etc, I assumed that their prices were going up ! I'm sure you have seen on here before - we like to know as much as possible about prices in advance ..... Didnt think for one minute you were stirring, but I thought it would help everyone to clarify the situation as I could see where there was a possibility of confusion. I use the term approximation to cover myself, sometimes I may estimate that a guest will be 15 pounds and turns out to be 20 on the day, or even the other way round. My list can be a useful guide, as I check with showmasters what the price is expected to be, sometimes this can change. Last night I confirmed with Showmasters that Alan Cumming is expected to be £20 and that is what I am working on.
