Was a bit of a chill day for me too. I also spotted Peter Capaldi Fan and we chatted. Was nice to see you again Peter Capaldi Fan. I was pretty much done by about half two and I went home with some money left (which doesn't usually happen.)

It was nice to catch up for a chat. Until the next time

  2. Totally agree this was a vast improvement on the summer event - it probably helps that it's smaller.

The guests I met were all lovely and really seemed to be enjoying the experience. And it worked far better to have the popular guests in the booths from a queue management point of view.

The crew were all super friendly and all my photo shoots went very smoothly. At least you could hear the batch number announcements . You will never be able to stop people congregating in the area.

I had a really fantastic weekend. Thanks to ShowMasters I have now met all the Doctors from Tom Baker to Jodie Whittaker.

Now if there could just be an announcement for Ncuti Gatwa.....:whistling:

Sorry if this has already been asked, but what's the process for collecting the Diamond Pass, as I've read the email but I'm still unsure. Do I have to go to the National Hall entrance to pick it up before I queue for entrance to the event on Sunday? Or do I queue to get in, and then go and get the Diamond Pass?

There is no right or wrong answer. It depends on your individual schedule what works best for you. If you are trying for low VQ tickets I would suggest going in first then get your DP passes. If not then get your DP first. Personally I pick up the DPs first.

I've had the barcode sent through for one of my diamond passes, but doesnt say which one it is for. Maybe it covers both of them. But before that I got an eventbrite ticket reminder email for my Matt Smith, but not my David Tennant one.

It would be less confusing if they'd put which one it was for, or used tickets in the email rather that ticket.

Did you not get a barcode for each DP in the same email? Agreed it doesn't specify which is which but I definitely have 3 different barcodes for my 3 DPs. I had to scroll through the email to find them.

I’m not a regular goer but  I thought a DP meant you get to meet the guest and get a photo and signature pretty much guaranteed?,  as opposed to getting a lot of stuff signed and slowing down anyone else who wants to meet them?

    genuine question.

Whilst I certainly agree with the principle that with a rare and/or popular guest it's nice to be able to have as many people as possible get to meet them.

My only bugbear is the T&C's for some DPs were changed AFTER purchase without any notification. Personally for me if the limit is now just the included auto I will consider it money saved as I can't be asked to queue again and will be happy with what I have.

I imagine the idea is to get through the diamond pass holders more quickly and ensure that more people with VQ tickets get an opportunity to meet them.

And to ensure they get through all the diamond passes as they certainly have had problems with DP guests in the past.

It's a strange decision, as if you're going diamond, you're not going for just one autograph. i get limiting it, but 2 or 3 extras would make more sense. If that is the new rules, I'll only be getting the one Matt Smith and David Tennant, and not the extras i 'need'

Likewise. If this decision stays I will only get the one autograph for each. Certainly not going for the hassle of a VQ. And if a lot of others feel the same ShowMasters could well be kissing goodbye to several thousand pounds.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but there's this extra bit of text (bolded by me) pertinent to some of the guests attending LFCC Winter who are on Diamond Pass. This is from the tickets page itself.

    David Tennant Diamond Pass Sunday

Select quantity: David Tennant Diamond Pass Sunday price: £220.00
Sales end on 19 Nov 2022
The Diamond Pass Upgrade is tailor made to David Tennant. This pass DOES NOT include entry so please purchase entry tickets or a Gold Pass to validate it. This package includes:
1 x Exclusive Diamond Pass Dog Tag.
1 x Standard Photo Opportunity with named guest on Sunday.
1 x Guaranteed in-person autograph with name guest on Sunday. This can be on either your own personal item or a 10x8 supplied by us. If you wish to buy more you will be required to get a virtual queue ticket and rejoin the queue later.
1 x Exclusive Diamond Pass Gift Queue Access. No virtual queue ticket is required however Diamond Pass Holders will be called by number. Your number can be found on your pass.

Very sneaky. Some of the guests, you get just your one included autograph and that's it, you can't buy another two while in the queue, you'll have to grab a VQ if you want any more.

Even more sneaky. This has changed since the majority of people bought their DP

I did have that on order but cancelled after I managed to get him at Downton.  Yours is a nice auto!

It's nice to have a legible auto. I did have it on order but it ended up being quicker to go into Waterstones* and get it in person.

Could we expect any more guests do you think? I don’t know how close to the event they announce

They can announce right up to and even during the event so there is still a possibility of more guest announcements.

I'll be finishing my nightshift at 6am Sunday. I won't get home until about 7.30, so I'm anticipating getting to Olympia about 10.30.

Currently I just have DPs for DT & Jodie, so my late arrival shouldn't be a problem.

May the scheduling Gods be shining on you for the Sunday
