  1. Hi, any more word on what time Tom Baker might be arriving at the event? Thanks!
  2. I can arrive as early as needed, it is the second half of the day that is a problem. I watched a couple if vlogs from last year and Tom didn't arrive until about 12:45pm. So if he is there in the morning, then I am golden!
  3. Any indication of what time he will be attending the event? I would love to go, as I have missed Tom on a couple of occasions now, but won't have the whole day available to me.
  4. The problem I have with Diamond passes is that so many are sold now that if it is becoming more frequent that people in the VQ will not get a look in, or at the very least the VQ numbers will not get very high. Jenna Coleman was a good example this year. By the time I had to leave the show at around 4pm on Saturday she was only up to VQ 60. Now I know I can buy the Diamond pass if I want to, but I never want a photo, I just want an autograph and so I cannot justify paying 3x the price of the autograph to have that guarentee. So I left the show without an autograph and disappointed. And yes, Showmasters are running a business, but if things continue this way, they will lose me as a customer as there is no point going if I can't meet the people I want to using VQ. So, do I think Diamond passes are fair...not entirely. Yes, they are available to everyone but they simply will not suit everyone. I think what would be ideal is having more variety of diamond passes. If there was such a thing as an autograph only Diamond pass, I would absolutely use it!!
  5. I get it, I really do and it isn't something that is a problem for me, I just bought the day pass and haven't pre-booked anything. From a customer point of view I can imagine how unsatisfying "that's our policy" can be as an answer. I agree it is unlikely it will change, but I am not sure I see why. With LFCC selling out for the last couple of years, it seems like SM have more demand than supply. To me there are 2 scenarios: 1, don't refund - customers get frustrated and upset, SM only get the entry fee, lots of complaining on the forums and potentially lose repeat business from customers. 2, refund - release the tickets for sale and allow someone else the chance to go and potentially spend even more money on photoshoots and autographs. Create massive goodwill with the customer who has received the refund and show everyone that they are putting customers first. Plus much less nastiness or complaining in the forum. Seems like a win-win. Just my two cents, and I am sure I don't have a clue of the intricacies and challenges of running a business like SM, but feels like this is actually more of an opportunity for SM than a risk. Good advice for any business is "Ignore your customers at your peril". Don't take my word for it though :-) “Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning” Bill Gates “I think it's very important to have a feedback loop, where you're constantly thinking about what you've done and how you could be doing it better.” Elon Musk
  6. I totally agree with the mods, it is very clear what you are and are not buying and under which circumstances a refund will and will not be issued. That is the chance you take when you book, and everyone should abide by these rules and there is absolutely no need for rudeness for people just trying to help and do their jobs. That said, I do understand the frustrations and when you hear that there have been a record number of complaints this year from customers, you have to wonder it is something Showmasters should be taking into consideration. Like Henry Selfridge said “People will sit up and take notice of you if you will sit up and take notice of what makes them sit up and take notice.”
  7. Apologies if I broke forum rules with my post, that was not my intention. Although I have been attending showmasters events for about 10 years, I have spent almost no time on the forum, so please forgive my ignorance. Is there a post somewhere that details forum rules? I could only find the "Welcome to the Showmasters Forum" post, but that didn't really clarify my mistake. I would like to avoid any future missteps!
