This is a very useful piece of information thank you so much. If I buy his DP it will be if I have “plenty” of time so it won’t be an issue with regards to collecting his Auto. It will mean I can go later in the day on either of the days. Then my DP number will more than likely be well past and possibly on to VQ ticket holders anyway

Thank you so much! That’s great news. I wasn’t sure obviously with Showmasters having to sort out all the DP ready for the event. Especially as they tend to have a DP collection on the Thursday too, so not much time if I’ve only bought my Diamond Pass a week before I’ve got other Diamond Passes to collect too so what’s one more for the pile lol

I’m waiting for the Schedule to come out to see if I can fit a photo/Auto in with him. Will it be too late to buy a Diamond Pass when the Schedule is out?

Here is a list of what they ask for on the Extra Help Page... Disability Living Allowance (DLA) award letter Attendance Allowance (AA) award letter Blind Persons Registration Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Armed Forces Independence Payment A current and valid Blue Badge (photocopy of both sides) A medical letter from your doctor or consultant explaining your reasons for needing extra assistance However, I too have a Disabled Persons Railcard and I know the only way to get one is if you show proof of Disability benefits to the Railcard people in their form and issuing process. So I’d be inclined to say that it’s “proof” but, obviously it’s in Showmasters Policy that the “proof” they require are the ones listed sadly. Maybe email and ask?

No there isn’t an email response after filling in the form. They just then have you registered on their list. Turn up on the day and give your name and show your proof of Disabiltiy and if you have requested a Carers Ticket it will be on their list

Have you filled in the form under the Accessibility header online? The new system means that after you fill in that form you don’t need to do anything else. There won’t be an email response in reply to you filling in the form because I was told they aren’t sending out individual emails for the Extra Help now. By filling in the form that means you are registered for Extra Help and on the day they have a printed out list of all the people who have applied and those who have requested a Carers Ticket. As long as you bring the proof of one of the documents listed in the form that should be enough. You don’t have an “actual” ticket for a Carer it’s just simply that you have requested you have a Carer with you and then they get a Carers band on the day. They get to attend the event for as long as your ticket allows you to attend.

Hi, just to say that if you take a photo copy of BOTH sides of you Disability Parking Disc then that should be enough to bring as “proof”. They understand that people don’t want to be carrying those around. I only bring a photo copy of my Disability Proof because of the same reason. However, it will need to be of both sides of the Disability Disc because then it shows it is yours with the side that has the expiry date on and the side that has your name on etc

Yes I was registered for that too, that’s how I knew they had our names etc... However, they have never done an early pick up for any sort of passes for Collectormania but, they do for LFCC and have done a number of times. That’s why I’m asking if with the new pre registration of Extra Help can the early pick that’s already arranged (if it is so this year) for Diamond and Gold Passes can it also include the Extra Help for this who have all ready registered and have Diamond Passes to pick up too. Like I said there is no harm in asking.

Yes this is true, however they have never asked anyone to “pre register” in the past either. The pre registration means they have our names now so they are more aware of how many people are expected who may require Extra Help. I’m just enquiring that’s all so I know what’s what and I’m prepared

I have found the other threat thank you. However, as I’m also asking about Accessibility Pass/Extra Help that is not covered in the other threa it seems. Maybe I should have worded the header differently. If I don’t get much of a response I may do a separate post just enquiringly about the Extra Help. Thank you anyway it’s really appreciated

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered. I’m just wanting to clarify a couple of things please? As there usually is in previois years, I’m wondering if there will be a Diamond Pass Collection on the Thursday again this year? As like many I have more than one to collect and it does save time on the Friday or any of the other mornings. However, another question I’d like to ask too please; as this year is different to previois years for Accessibility Passes. In the sense that to gain an Accessibility Pass you now have to pre register with your name and other things and state which “proof” you will be bringing to the event. I did this also for Birmingham at the beginning of June. This means that you now have a list of who is gaining the Accessibility Pass in the same way you have a list of who is obtaining a Diamond Pass. Therefore my question is would it now be possible to save time over the weekend and pick up any Access Pass along with my Diamond Pass prior to the event on the Thursday evening? Thank you for all your help

Thanks for this because I really was panicking (this is part of my issues), this explains it properly and makes it more acceptable and understandable. It does mean that it's a "longer walk" around the building from the Olympia Tube but, I have my Rollator with a seat lol... now I understand I can make plans to set off earlier to allow for my slow movements and needing to rest. thank you again and I'm looking forward to the event The good thing too is even though the schedule is on V6 it doesn't seemed to have changed that much (well not for the people I'm hoping to meet anyway)

Saturday schedule is in twice, it's under Saturday and Sunday?

As someone said earlier the thread is regarding "Collection Only" and I think I misinterpreted the original thread. I have proof that I'm supposed to stand where the Gold Ticket Holders do when I queue to get into the Con but, I understand that I can only "Collect" my Weekend Pass and my Extra Help Wristband on either of the three days of the Actual Con days and not the Thursday am I correct? So I'm going on the Thursday evening to collect my 3 Diamond Passes and then on the Friday morning I can queue up where the Gold Pass people queue because even though I don't have a Gold Pass I've been told in the Extra Help email that's where I queue to collect my Weekend wristbands and my Extra Help Wristbands. I didn't have Diamond Pass last year so I just queued where I'd been told to prior to the Con in an email with a print out proof (I have printed it out this time too), proof of my Disabilities and of course my tickets. That way by collecting my Diamond Passes on the Thursday evening I don't have to go from one end of the building (having Disabilities makes that difficult) to the other just to then collect Diamond Passes when I'm in the Con?

So we collect our Weekend Pass/Wristband and the Extra Help Wristbad from one side of the building and and then queue at the other side? I'm just confused because obviously these passes can only be collected on the days of the Con and not the Thursday so when I get off the Tube instead of me not having to go that far around the building and just joining the queue as it was last year it's now in a different place is that right? The wrist bands and ticket scans for Disabled people were done within the queue they had been told to queue in within the email? Thanks for all your help clarifying this up I panic if things aren't straight in my head

The extra help email tells us to queue with/near the Gold Pass people is this now not the case? Sorry I'm just a little confused as this was the case last year?

We have 3 Diamond Passes to collect and Extra Help Wrist Bands and Weekend Wristbands. Is it only the Diamond Pass I will be able to collect or all my wrist bands for the weekend?

Will there be an outside "map" of the building with queue points highlighted for the different queues? E.g. Gold Pass Queue, Standard Entry and YALC? Thank you
