  1. I know Raylenth but we can live in hope. Never say never......!
  2. See my guest suggestions in my signature below.
  3. My guest suggestions are in my signature below.
  4. I met Ian last year with my 10 year old son for an auto and photo op. My son is a massive Star Wars fan, so despite the high price it was a must! I must say that of all the guests last year, Ian was my favourite. A really nice, approachable and accommodating guy, who put my son at ease and did his "Emperor voice" for him ("Young Jedi")! Ian was only at LFCC for 1 day last year and was very (but not impossibly) busy. I would recommend an early morning start if you want a low enough VQ to be sure of an auto. Given that he attended only last year though, it is possible that this year's queuing will be a little less busy, which is good news! I would love to meet him again but simply cant afford to this time, with all the other great announcements! Hopefully this helps some of you....
  5. While we are on the subject of diamond pass numbers, what intervals are these normally called up in for autos (i.e. is it 1 - 10, 1 - 20, etc)? I have a few diamonds for Fri, Sat and Sun guests but am only attending Fri and Sat, so hopefully getting the autos wont be a problem?
  6. Harry Dean Stanton (Alien) Tim Curry (IT, Rocky Horror) Lance Henriksen (Aliens) Peter Weller (Robocop) Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) Any of these would be great...?
  7. Lance Henriksen would be great. I would also love Harry Dean Stanton from Alien to round off the Alien theme so far this year. Harry would complete my Alien autos collection!!
  8. Ok thanks QS. Unless I am going mad (quite possible), I am sure there was some sort of private signing last year and the signed prints were made available in the SM shop. I seem to remember it being limited to something like 250 prints and the price was around £225+.
  9. My son has been asking for a Michael J Fox autograph! Shame I couldn't take him to LFCC 2015! I think SM also had a private signing with MJF sometime last year and again we missed out! He wants an 8 x 10 signed Back to the Future photo. Has anybody got an idea where to get one from a trusted dealer or are there any members of the forum who might be willing to part with one? I know it will not be cheap.....
  10. Yes, I was only joking but sound advice all around. I agree with everything you have all said regarding setting a budget and sticking to it. I have reached my ceiling now (quite a bit earlier than last year!) and as john1980 says, I will only book anything else if there are cancellations. Happy with what I am doing so far. It isn't just the money its also the amount of time available over the two days I am going.
  11. Thanks all. Makes me feel a bit more confident it is do-able. My 10 year old son is pretty up for it, so it will be me that tires before him..... Some great guests so far. My wallet is emptying far too quickly....I hope Showmasters are not leaving the best announcements until last because I will need to get a second job and re-mortgage the house!
  12. Just wondering what people's thoughts are from past experiences at LFCC whether I am overdoing it or not. I am attending with my 10 year old son on Friday and Saturday (not Sunday at the moment). At the moment we are going for:- Friday - 3 photoshoots and 5 autos. Saturday - 3 photoshoots, 2 autos and 2 talks. Between us, we also have 4 diamond passes (for Christopher Lloyd, Tom Wilson, Terence Stamp and Tom Skerritt), which should hopefully speed things up. This means I only need 2 autos on the VQ system. I don't want to be too stressed out and I am also worried about clashes, so it is doubtful that I will buy anything else between now and July. What do you think of how achievable this is so far?
  13. I am hoping it is Tim Curry for the last ever UK signing but it would probably also be his first! He is USA based and started doing cons over there last year. Not in the best of health, so last ever would make sense. If it is Tim, then that would be massive for me. The SM announcement seems to suggest the last ever signer has signed for them before, so maybe it isn't Tim and someone like Stan Lee!!!??? Anyone from Alien would also be good and make sense as a last time signer. Harry Dean Stanton is 90 I think, with Yaphet and Tom not far behind!!!
  14. Yeah I also say Kenneth Branagh. Liked the Frankenstein adaptation in the mid 90s....very under rated!
  15. Tim Curry would make my year! I believe he has started to do some cons but unfortunately is not in great health! What a class act he is!! Give it a try Showmasters - he is British born and bred!!
  16. I was just wondering whether people might comment on what is more important or meaningful for them to get at LFCC, autographs or photoshoots? My preference is probably autographs but I just wondered what other peoples priorities might be.... When it comes to photoshoots I also wondered whether anyone will be having multiple 'costume changes' during the day to cater what they are wearing to the guest they are getting a photo with?
  17. I have to say the line up so far this year is outstanding. All a matter of opinion I know, but so much better than 2016 already and last year was pretty good! I am slightly worried that it is only February and between me and my 10 year old son we already have 3 diamond passes, 2 photoshoots and 5 autos to collect over Friday and Saturday. I don't think the stalls will get much attention this time around.......!!!! Regarding the diamond passes, I really hope we can collect them on the Thursday or they can be mailed out. I don't fancy queuing up for them on Friday morning when I should be getting VQs for autos!
  18. Wow. This is a fantastic announcement. Thanks Showmasters. You are spoiling us at the moment. Photoshoot booked.
  19. My guess is someone from a superhero movie or TV series. Superman tie in with Terence Stamp hopefully or otherwise someone from Thor / Iron Man / Captain America???
  20. I think Showmasters should give us a bit more of a clue........first time signer doesn't narrow it down massively!!!!
  21. I am hoping for someone from Ghostbusters (old one not new one)!!! Bill Murray would probably be a first time signer but I would be AMAZED if anyone could convince him to do a con! A bit leftfield but what about Daniel Day Lewis? He would be massive IMO and I don't think he has ever signed before!?
  22. I think I already know the answer to this one but can I buy extra autos when I go up for my diamond ones? I have a Terence Stamp Diamond Pass which gives me 2 but I need an extra 1. I also have a Christopher Lloyd Diamond pass which gives me 1 but I need 2. I think I have seen somewhere on the forums before that I can get up to 5 autos max from most guests, with some exceptions (like Michael J Fox in 2015 for example). You are a useful bunch, so I am sure one of you let me know.
  23. Just wondered whether anyone knows roughly what the prints will look like that come with some of the diamond passes? I am assuming that they are like a collage of the guest's career or something like that? Has anyone got any advice to offer based on previous years? Also, any ideas on what the sizes of these prints are? Are they 8 x 10? Any thoughts appreciated.
