  1. I'm a first time con attendee and am trying to work out my plan and everything and need some advice. Obviously, talks will be about an hour if you include the time you got to be there beforehand and getting out (BC's I know will be longer). I have given myself 15mins for any autographs or photo shoots - this includes getting there and queueing. Is this right? Any tips on how to create a plan? I have a feeling that whatever plan I make will go right out the window anyway. Could really have done with being able to do a photoshoot or autograph or 2 on Friday night. Ah well. The stress for me makes it more exciting. I'm a bit of a planning freak.
  2. Are the talks essentially the same (I realize there will be slight differences cos there isn't a script) as some are repeated such as Steven Moffatt & Mark Gatiss talk (1 sat & 1 Sun), The Danny Hargreaves talk, Maplocked etc. This will make it a lot easier if they are pretty much the same as I can scrap some doubles off the list.
  3. Wow, that's a lot of folks ! So each day there will be VIP, then 150 Platinum, then 300 Gold allocations to each photoshoot, plus then Silver and individual photoshoots ? I read that as VIP then 300 Platinum in total, then 600 Gold in total then 500 Silver!
  4. I was at Leicester Square tube last night and they definitely aren't on the Northern Line escalators. They have the digital posters there which change all the time. That would just be unfair if it suddenly came on those! I didn't see the posters anywhere else.
  5. Okay thank you both for all of that. Just a couple of clarifications and one extra question, I've just thought of. 1) the digital copies of photo's taken with the guests are for purchase only? Not free? 2) If further screenings are announced - which packages will they be included in? 3) If I buy a set shoot for Saturday but run out of time, can I still use it on Sunday? Further question, Sarah Arthur (Costume) and Claire Pritchard-Jones (Hair, Makeup) are doing talks, it has been announced, will we be able to purchase photos or autographs with them also? Something I would be keen to do. I'm sorry if these questions have been asked before. I have checked the forum to make sure I am not repeating myself. Your help is, as always, very much appreciated.
  6. I have a few more questions. None of them are linked particularly but I thought I'd put them all in the one post. Sorry to be a pain, first time I've done anything like this. 1) Will there be no photos on set to be taken on Friday night? I thought it would be a really good idea to have it done then as it is one less things to get done at the weekend. 2) For any and all of our photos, will there be somewhere where we can have a digital copy to save onto our computer? 3) Will there be more screenings of episodes? 4) Are you able to go into a talk after it has started? I'm going to assume this also affects your priority seating as well? 5) Are the round table chat with Steven Moffatt & Mark Gattis and the tour of the set with Arwel Jones VIP exclusive, or will their be tickets made available nearer the time? This isn't clear from the VIP package details as only the drinks reception states that it is VIP exclusive. 6) I think I know the answer to this but am just making sure - if you are a VIP or platinum ticket holder can you purchase an extra BC autograph? 7) If we are unhappy with a photo - say for an example my eyes are closed - can we have it retaken? I'm sure I will have more questions before then but that's all I can think of for now.
  7. I'm staying outside London and travelling in. It's about half the price, train fairs not bad and give me more money to spend on autographs :)
  8. Does anyone think they will release another batch of the Mr Cumberbatch on set? Or will that be it. Went to get one yesterday and they were all sold out

    Mp3's

Damn legal agreements. Ah well, I'll give up on that idea.
  10. Any ideas which episode will be at that screening yet? Would be nice to know before we have the chance to purchase tickets.

    Mp3's

I don't know if Showmasters have ever done this or thought about it, but I think it would be really cool if they recorded the talks they are holding and provided them either online or on a memory stick for those that attend so they can listen to them again and again. Whether you pay for it or its part of a 'package.' Similar to how if you go to a concert now, in some cases, you can get the entire live concert you went to on CD or mp3 download. Just a thought :)

But I think these are probably up there as most wanting to meet. Anyone else have any Sherlock Holmes themed guests they would like to meet? I've avoided any going to the Sherlocked convention.

    Yearly Event

Hello everyone, Have been thinking and don't really know how these things work, but is this planned to be an annual event? Or a bi-annual? I know everyone wants Martin Freeman & Amanda Abbington there, as do I, but it would be good if this was a semi-regular event then they could make it another time. Just a thought. Like I said, I don't know how these things work?
  16. First of all, thank you for replying so quickly! Very helpful and I appreciate it a lot. Just a few of quick questions to ensure my understanding if you don't mind.... 1) The "Steven Moffat & Mark Gatiss Creators Talk" advertised in the Ladies Of Sherlock talk description, is that the same talk as "Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss round table chat" in the VIP Ticket description. 2) Will the screenings hosted by Lead Guests be a ticketed event and not just exclusive to VIP & Platinum ticket holders? 3) If we both get a Gold ticket and then I buy an autograph ticket for Mark Gatiss, for example, but my partner doesn't, would she be able to stand in the queue with me but then leave once it is my turn to get the autograph? Once again many thanks for your kind help.
  17. Hi all, Have e-mailed these questions yesterday but am assuming they are flooded with queries so thought I'd post on here as this place seems to be the fountain of all knowledge! If I buy a Platinum ticket for myself and a Gold or just a photo ticket for my partner, and we want to be in the photo together. Would she be able to queue with me as I believe that Platinum tickets holders get queuing priority or would I have to wait until it was her time to queue? Also would she be able to accompany me for autograph and photo shoots that I have that she doesn't have in the queue and during it, without actually being in the photo or getting the autograph? It seems silly if she has to stand on her own whilst I'm queuing and doing things. I hope that makes sense. And sorry if these are silly questions, I'm a bit of a convention newbie so I have no idea how these things work. Final query, on the website it states that you can only go to the exclusive Writers/Creators talk with Steven Moffatt and Mark Gatiss if you buy a ticket to the Ladies Of Sherlock talk. However, I am planning on getting a Platinum or Gold ticket so does that mean I automatically get a ticket to that Creators talk or do I have to buy another ticket to the Ladies Of Sherlock talk to attend (which would seem a little silly). I hope that makes sense and thank you for your time in assisting me. Keep up the good work!
