  1. If they planned to milk the "13" aspect and announce it at 1:00, why put 'noon' in the original post?
  2. That might be an explanation if Jason hadn't posted it would be at 'noon'......
  3. Not really, where's it from? :) It's from a segment of the Amazing Stories called 'Go To The Head Of The Class' Check out the trailer here: https://screen.yahoo.com/amazing-stories-head-class-143900028.html I'd forgotten about this show 😀
  4. Shouldn't someone have verified or proofread the information prior to it being sent out to avoid confusion/misrepresentation?
  5. Jason has already clarified. He came on by the mods' request. There seems to be a different kind of Diamond Pass planned besides the Christopher Lloyd Pass, but obviously details can't be confirmed yet. It won't cover all members of the cast though. I've asked that SM confirms my understanding. Once I have confirmation I will change the first post. Wouldn't it make more sense to confirm what passes will be offered before posting it here? That one mistake seems to have caused a lot of confusion among BTTF fans.....
  6. There have been some who have been banned from posting on this forum, though....Some who have not been overly negative, offensive, mentioned other shows, etc.....have not really done anything that I could see that violated the forum rules......
  7. I won't hold it against them if they don't rub it in the faces of those who can't afford it 😄
  8. Another vote for Frank here. I want him for other vocal roles aside from Yoda though :-) Aughra (The Dark Crystal)Miss Piggy loads of characters that I grew up with on Sesame Street & The Muppet Show (I'm American lol) Trading Places An America Werewolf in London Little Shop of Horrors Death at a Funeral (the original) so many things..... Don't forget the Blues Brothers!I'll probably get smacked down for this, but I've never really 'gotten' the appeal of The Blues Brothers....I've seen it once, because I've always heard from people how good it is, but afterwards, I was just 'Meh, what's the big deal?' It was okay, but not my cuppa, I guess....Maybe it's more of a dude film?

  10. We store our metallic Sharpies nib-down and have never had a problem - I think we've had our set for a year. Paint pens can splodge; we had a photograph ruined at LFCC this summer when the guest used a gold paint pen (not ours, she just used the pen she was holding after signing a framed print) - she pressed down on the photo, which left a splodge....Unfortunately, we had already had the photo signed by another guest at an earlier con, so it was now pretty worthless 😞 SM pit boss Ally was brilliant, though; we spoke to the crew member who was working with the guest (can't remember her name - might have been Kate), who sent us to Ally. They arranged for us to get a new picture signed - not the same one, but we are glad that it was sorted 😀 Paint pens are good on glass, metal, wood, plastic etc, but not the best on photos....
  11. kenny is a regular at showmaster events. he shouldnt be difficult to get. I have seen him come to MANY showmaster events and he is at collectormania MK most years. Could petro have been being sarcastic?
  12. I'm surprised there weren't more comments about this; based on the response when he was announced, loads of people were excited about meeting him......
  13. I met him in July & would meet him again, just to hear that voice for a few more seconds! 😀
  14. Brian Blessed, Sam J Jones & Kenny Baker have attended SM events; George Harris was supposed to attend an event earlier this year, but cancelled, so FG guests have been known to happen.....
  15. Would love to have cast members from Flash Gordon & Krull - those are two of my favourite 'guilty pleasure' films! 😀
  16. Speaking of train stations: why not have some electronic signs listing the guests alphabetically and what number is being called for the queue? Those little wipe off signs are just not good enough. As others have pointed out, you have to actually go into the queue in order to read it, which often leads crew members to snappily tell you to move lol
  17. Having redone my fire warden training recently at work I can comment on this. Fire exits are supposed to be kept closed at all times EXCEPT in the event of a fire to allow emergency egress from the building. Sorry, I don't think I was very clear, I was referring to people saying the fire exits were chained up or blocked off. Not just closed. There were exits at the side opened to let people out at night, not sure if they were fire exits or not but it seemed silly to not use them throughout the day. i can say 100% there was no chained up or blocked off active fire exits. all light fire exits we unlocked and open that is 100% and the venue keeps records of this and the fire officer was there all day every day and we would not be aloud to open if it was any other way. i hope that clears this up for you jason Saturday morning in Stan's hall the doors leading to the stairs were inaccessible - signs saying you couldn't use them; they weren't fire exits, but the only way up to the 1st floor was via escalator, and the only way day was a single lift that maybe held 12 people......How in the world were people expected to get out of that building after getting VQ tickets for Stan? Later in the day the stairs were opened, so why not in the morning? There was a crush of people trying to exit the building so they could get over to the other one for VQ tickets......
  18. Considering the guests they had booked, shouldn't they, as a professional company that has been doing this for years, have been able to predict it? As soon as Stan Lee was announced, my partner and I jumped online to order early birds - with this being his last European signing, we KNEW he would draw loads of people to the event. Also, we knew we'd have to start queuing much earlier than we do normally, so we started our journey to London at 3 am. We've only being going to cons for a year, but even we were able to predict that numbers would be massive! Maybe SM should hire us
  19. To be fair, Jason and everyone will be reading about everything on here, but there's PLENTY to be learnt from those involved in the event and what went wrong. Makes complete sense. They probably will read it, but will they actually ACT on it? After the debacle in Newcastle, we were assured that 'nothing like that would happen again.' Yet here we are, with people in the wrong queues because nobody seemed to know which was which (we had 2 standard-entry guys behind us in the early-bird Stan Lee line Saturday) - there only seemed to be 2 queues: early-bird Stan Lee and pay on the door; massive queues outside a venue for hours on end with no access to toilets; few crew members/volunteers keeping those in the queue informed of what's going on (not just the ones towards the front); reaching capacity early in the day because they didn't anticipate the sheer number of people who would be attending; people unable to get into the venue because the early-birders weren't leaving (for fear they wouldn't be allowed back inside, as at Newcastle). The attendees were the ones in the thick of it; the pit crews may have only experienced a small portion of it, as they were stationed in certain areas. My partner and I were among the lucky ones - we managed, over the Saturday and the Sunday, to get every autograph and photoshoot we wanted / had paid for. Yet we could see so many things that were going wrong, and could easily have been prevented. Prior to the event, numerous posters were on the forum, asking how things would be run, and 'What if this happens?' sorts of questions. SM took a while to respond to some of those, almost as if it hadn't even occurred to them. They've been doing this for years - shouldn't they now be able to anticipate our questions/concerns and be planning ahead for most contingencies rather than waiting until after it's over to say, 'Oops, some things went wrong, but we're taking steps to make sure they don't happen again.'
  20. There was a tannoy system, but it was completely unintelligible.....I heard maybe 2 out of every 5 words when it came on....
  21. Hmm, Not sure E-Tickets are the right thing... When you go to a concert doors open around 1830hrs , main show starts around 2100hrs that means staff have time to scan the Bar codes.. Think Saturday.. It would take much longer to get in if each ticket had to be Scanned. It's not the fastest way, not in my book.. Staff on the door collected your Early bird ticket and you were straight in... I've been to several events with barcode tickets, and have not spent any additional time in the queues after the doors open....If you have people trained to use the and people actually have the tickets ready for scanning as they approach the entrance, they can speed up the entry process considerably.
  22. When he attended LFCC 2008, there were EM pics on the table. Thanks!
  23. Unfortunately we can never say - even if we knew, there would be no way to guarantee that the photo you want would still be available when you got there, some photos do sometimes run out. If you want a specific image or role, it's always a good idea to source your own photo. (There are places that sell 8x10 images, or get your own printed from snapfish/photobox etc) Thanks! I'm trying to find something online, but it's not easy; am finding loads from DW, HP and the 4th Indiana Jones film (yikes!), but not the one I really want from EM.....Am going to keep looking as long as possible lo
