Ok Lockdown buddies... I'm leaving to go to the airport in about 2 hrs. I've got an overnight flight to London.. and somehow.. I'll find the bus to take me to Northampton in the morning (tomorrow). It's very, very close, if you don't have vast amounts of luggage, then it's easily walkable in a couple of minutes. You'd pay the minimum fare for a taxi, which may be £3-£4 Thank you - I just found all the info through showmaster's lockdown website... B

Does anyone know? I'm coming by bus from London so once I get to the bus station in Northampton, how far is it to the hotel? I'll prob. take a taxi (I'll be really tired by then). OK, I'll get on the Google maps and see what I can find out. Are the taxis expensive?? Any help is appreciated. Bella

Not really a Starbucks addict - I find their coffee way too strong. But I do like their lattes - my favorite being the Cinnamon Dolce latte with whipped creme. Yum. It tastes like cotton candy. I love Dunkin Donuts. Do you have that in England? Their coffee is nice - but mostly I brew my own at home and carry it in a to-go cup. I love my own coffee the best. xo

We also have a Costa coffeee too Oh, good. I drink coffee all day long. It keeps me energized, all that caffiene. LOL. I'll be at the hotel on Thursday so that gives me time before the con starts to walk around the town and see where I can eat and find some coffee. B

I guess most of your questions have been answered! LOL. I'm wearing a simple black dress to the cocktail party on Friday - and a Hawaii-an looking summer outfit for the other party. Other than that, it'll be jeans, tee-shirts and my converse sneaks. Breakfast at the hotel, and a cheap dinner somewhere!! With loads of snacks and water in between. PS... i know you guys drink loads of tea - but can I get a good cup of coffee somewhere around there? I can bring my instant in the teabag sort - but I'll only drink that if I have to. Is there a Starbucks around the hotel??? B - the non tea drinking american LOLzzz

My kid has sports and birthday parties this weekend. Monday -Wednesday will be spent organizing the house, packing my bags, working out, preparing lists for my hubby. This house doesn't run well without me. I get on the plane Wed. night - I arrive in London Thurs. morning. It'll go quick.. and before I know it, I'll be back home.

There are a few stores here that make great flowy/bohemian evening out style tops that match well with dark jeans... and they're so cheap. they look good but the material is the kind that when you wash it once, it shrinks or rips. Very cheap in price. I spent 3 hours at the mall yesterday. I went to BCBG.. and found a fabulously cute top - for $170 USdollars. O my gawd. Never... So, I might hit one of the cheapie shops today My husband would take my credit card away if I ever bought a simple top for that kind of money. Ridiculous!! xoB

Thanks for that! It does make a difference bcause I was under the impression that exchange rate was different. Still sucks for me dollar wise when I visit - but yes, the dress price is very reasonable. And it looked so good... I know! I feel comfortable in both, so now it's just time to make the decision!!

I tried on a great black dress with a pair of heels, and it looked great. Thing is, I feel like I'll be overdressed and I don't want to stand out... not that I would... but I don't want to go in a dress if people will be dressed down. My sister says I should wear a pair of dark jeans (I have black and really dark blue) with a cute halter top and heels. I might do just that. The black dress was $100 - I think that's close to 200 british pounds.. but it's something I could keep forever (really good quality) and it's simple & elegant. Seriously? I just got in from a day of shopping. I tried on lot's of pretty things - but I don't know what to buy!!!! Give me ideas, especially the ladies. Yes. Exactly. That's what I was trying to get across.. that I *thought* this was an *extra* thrown into *all* of our packages due to the cancellation. And I said I *didn't* want to fight or argue with anyone - because I knew who would be replying.. and how quick they would get back to me on this. How someone doesn't see this for what it is boggles me. B

Don't want to fight with anyone - but - I'm of the understanding that a group photo with the guests was not something we (Gold or Standard) were gonna get. Gold passes get entry to the photo shoots with the actors. Nowhere did it say we would get a group photo with the guests. To me, this is a gift to all of us from SM... a way of saying.. ok, this really s***ty thing happened to us at the last minute that was beyond our control. It was a surprise to everyone. I don't think the topic of group photos even came up on this forum (lockdown) since the event was announced.. i could be mistaken. I don't feel it takes away from any money I paid for a Gold pass because I didn't even expect to get a group shot. This bit of news made me smile today. Again - not wanting to argue, just my opinion on the whole free group photo thing. People who paid for a standard pass are just as upset about HIC canceling as the gold pass holders are. No matter what we paid, we all lost the same thing. B
