About Me

I'm Emma Jane. I live in the North East of England. A normal girl in a less than normal world I'd like to think. I admittedly have a very bad attachment to TV programmes/Actors, who in same way or another changed me or made me who I am. For example, Charmed, I watched from the age of 8 to 16, the years when what you learn makes a difference, shapes you as a person. The values and beliefs that Charmed held within its storylines are the most important things to me. Same can be said for other programmes but not in the way Charmed was and will always be the foundation of my upbringing, as it wasn't great to begin with. Most children learn from their parents, me I learned from the Halliwells. Sometimes I'm told I fixate on an actor too much because at the end of the day they're just a human being with a good job. Yes I understand that, but it's because of that actor that we are given such amazing characters to look up to, or because they are so good at acting we can believe whole-heartedly that they are who we want them to be. Ok, yes an actor can only be as good as the shows script writer but who really sits down to watch their favourite programme and say 'oh this is all fake, make believe', no we sit down and anticipate 'did they survive', 'will they return', 'have they fallen out of love' and then probably cry if its bad news. On the other hand the actors themselves maybe the ones to look up to. My idol is Alyssa Milano, look at what she's done in life, yes acting but that's not the only thing on her CV, Ambassador of UNICEF and Global Network of Neglected Tropical Diseases, supports PETA, runs fundraising as her birthday present and in honour of her son, several visits to Africa, an overall entrepreneur with a book and sports clothing line under her belt. If you ask me, Alyssa is worth spending hundreds of pounds on to meet. My about me rant is over, although never intended it, I think I have proved why these conventions that Showmasters so kindly organise is worth every penny, every foot ache from queuing, because I love these people who I go to see even if they have no flipping idea who the hell I am, I know who they are and they are AMAZING! :-)
