I don't know if this has been mentioned, or it's any use to anyone, but if you are quite far and need to get to ExCel without the DLR, you can get the district line to Plaistow and get a 241 bus from outside the station which stops right outside Custom House (the stairs leading up to ExCel). It's how I used to get there when I lived in London and it only takes about 20 minutes, not including the actual waiting of the bus or traffic though so check that first! I know that TFL sometimes doesn't mention it as an option but if you have a Travelcard it's all the same price and journey time so I thought I'd mention it just in case! Happy travels!

I'd never even heard the word 'Trekker' before this, though I still wouldn't call myself a Trekkie just because I don't think I know enough about Star Trek to say I am one haha. I still want to wear Star Trek costumes and stuff though just because I cosplay and dress up anyway. I'm enough of a fan to own the box sets and name some episodes just from screen shots! But then I couldn't name every character let alone the actors name and I haven't seen every series, only TOS and TNG so I guess I am just a 'Star Trek fan'

I was also wondering about this since I want to go in costume but I'd rather change there and leave a bag somewhere, is there any where to leave bags and stuff for the day?

I'm hoping to go in TOS science blue, but with a skirt instead of trousers. I was thinking of maybe being Vulcan, but I've never been to any sort of Star Trek event and I'm worried people might not like it since there isn't much indication to any other Vulcans in Star Fleet during TOS and they may think it's out of place, especially with a skirt? What do you guys think? I wanted to ask here since a lot of you seem to have been to these sort of events before and have a lot more knowledge then me. I'll be going alone so I don't to feel out of place the whole time. I was also thinking of maybe doing an Orion Slave girl costume, like the one seen in The Cage because body paint is the one thing I'm actually fairly good at!
