Sleep..what is that? Mind you, I am usually vigilant enough to cover all of the bases so that people - not you - cannot say that I said this etc as some people do on forums like this. I do this as not everyone reads all of the string to get a feel for the convo.

I may have mis-interpreted what you mean but that has never been an issue. The lengths the organisers go to ensuring the welfare of the guests is phenomenal given the number they have attending Quoted on it's own it may well stand a good chance of being mis-interpreted. But, said in the context it was posted: I had hoped that it was self explanatory. As someone who has helped organise and stage events in my hometown, I know the difficulties in running an events. Thus, I would find it very hard to openly slate a fellow organiser. When I have critiqued events, no matter who runs them, I have always tried to do it in a polite manner. I would hate for people to think that I was suggesting SM do not care. The post was part of an exchange of posts dealing with the subject of photo shoots and newbie guests being looked after by experiences PAs who could fill them in on the ins and outs of events such as CM12.

I think that this is a good idea. When they agree to come, have a list of questions etc and get their feedback so situations like with the Helen Slater photo session could be avoided. Some new guests may not have spoken to old hand guests, as I know some do, and found out what the score is with events. This may also show the guest that the organiser, Showmasters, is thinking and caring about their welfare at the event.

I agree with everything said about looking interested, smiling, posing or standing in the same postcode as the attendee, but problems will, and have, arisen when people think that guests will not mind being touched...not matter how innocently. No matter what anyone says, I cannot see a time when I will not disagree with this. However, I would expect a guest who has agreed to do the photo shoot to look smiley or interested. Maybe posing as Morden did with some guests is a lot to ask, Morden and the original Jedi Chefs are complete legends. I have a picture of two Angel cast members mock light sabre battling at a convention I went to. I will sort them out and link them to here.

But the scary thing would be if the guy turned around and said yes!

This is NOT directed at anyone, but since when has it been STANDARD PRACTICE for a guest to put an arm round you etc in a photoshoot? I know it is common place, but STANDARD PRACTICE is not something I would have conceive it to be.

Stalker Alert!! I'm glad you did post - at least it shows it wasn't her being a diva, more that she felt really uncomfortable after having been obviously innappropriately approached by someone in the first lot of people through the shoot. Good on her for continuing - probably explains the slightly distant look too if she was expecting someone to grope her. Maybe the way to go is for SM to say that there will be no contact in photoshoots at all from now on - then people can't complain afterwards. that just it though nobody "innappropriately approached" her we just walked up & put a hand on her shoulder. if she would have said please could you remove your hand everybody would have. I don't think anyone is saying you or your friend(s) did, but rather the experience earlier that made her feel that way. Some people, whether in the public eye or not, do not feel confident enough to say "Please do not touch me etc etc".

It made me laugh, you had to have heard it to appreciate it. It just sounded so poncy. s***. Have I just opened myself up to attack from the PC army? I see your point Nicky, and I totally agree with you. I see it every day and it is sometimes too hard not to say anything. If someone sets themselves up for it, why disappoint them. Espceially as they would do it to you if they had the chance.

Monkey..be honest with them. Tell them that you had planned to go to the event some time ago - which is the truth I am taking it? - and ask if you can work different hours that week. An Argos shop isn't going to be overstaffed.

Hundred percent agree with you my dear - I call you that knowing you are not a dude - but all I am commenting on is the touching. I have had a few photos back at other events where I could have photoshopped a better picture of the guest next to me!. Mind you, I had one female guest want to touch my shaven head a few years back. It was most weird, but who was I to complain. I am trying to remember who it was, but I will look back through my photos. Hey Cheerleader Girl....it is the oldest profession in the book.

Actually, I can think of another profession that touching strangers is most expected!!

Oh, I am not commenting on the fact that people are saying she stood a fare distance away from people, or was not looking directly at the camera. I am only commenting on the touching.

For those of us who have been on the convention/signing event circuit for many years, we will probably know of incidents that have happened in the past. You hear rumours, and you hear first hand accounts of people who have witnessed something that has made a guest feel uncomfortable about touching strangers. Of all the incidents that I have either witnessed, or know someone who has witnessed one, they all are of female guests. As Lone Gunman said in their post, you do not buy a photo opportunity to touch a guest. If you feel that it gives you the right to do so, then that is completely wrong in my personal opininon. I always have a rule of thumb that, if I wouldn't like it done/said to me, then why should I expect a guest/someone else have it done/said to them. I am not having a go, or criticising anyone who has posted here, but thinking that a guest should touch/hug/put an arm around a complete stranger is wrong. They are human beings after all.

The 222 has changed to x29 which is Oct 29th - tomorrow's RAW. Head of USA Network asked that his return be left until then to maximise viewing figures. This has been the rumour for a couple of weeks now.

It was really horrible, I'm quite pleased that he's not fighting after seeing the state he's in. I didnt notice the mistake in Rey and Finlay's match. I guess Jeff and Kennedy will now have a programme for the IC belt. Just before Rey was going to push Finlay over the white line, the stretcher got caught in the wire. The commentators even mentioned it. Jeff vs KK has been in the works for a few weeks now. Triple H vs Umaga - Moment of the match and PPV (so far) was when Trips was laid over the far right announcing desk, and Umaga ran on top of all three announcing tables from the far left to the far right and dove on top of Trips in a belly flop type move. The desk collapsed and it was an OMG moment.

As of dinnertime, the wwe.com confirmed that Matt would compete on Sunday. I personally expect a drastically changed storyline in the match to make sure that the gash isn't made worse. Apparently, both Matt and MVP have become good friends, so I expect MVP to be careful in this match. Yeah he said himself he'll be competing, I do hope they change the match layout. Apparently he cant see out his one eye at the moment, as it's swollen shut. Even though I knew it was coming on SD, I couldn't watch and then the wound became a target as if the assumed he'd done it himself. It was horrible. My predictions WWE Title Match: Orton vs HBK, Jeff Hardy or Mr. Kennedy. I think HBK could win it although Jeff may just get a shot. Whatever I think Orton will retain the belt World Title Match: Batista vs Taker Stone Cold as ref and I think Taker will win it. HHH vs Umaga: Cant remember the stips but I think Umaga will win Rey Mysterio vs Finley: Rey may win, cant really predict a stipulation as the match has just started MVP vs Matt Hardy: Wrestling Match and Matt will win. (Is this for the US belt or not?) ECW Title Match: CM Punk vs John Morrison, The Miz, Big Daddy V. John Morrison will get it but I think Punk will retain. ETA: Matt is no longer wrestling tonight, he's not been cleared by the Doctor's so MVP will no face one of the following The Great Khali Mark Henry Kane I'd like to see Kane get the nod and I think MVP will win it because of the ongoing storyline with Matt. Matt's face was bad...genuinely bad. There was no way that the make-up people made that look bad.
