Autographs. . .

Hi all,

I'm planning on getting an autograph (this is the first year I've decided to get actor autographs) and I was just wondering about the procedure.

If I meet an actor, and I allowed to get multiple autographs, or just the one? I have multiple items that I want signed, but not if it means I have to pay extra per autograph....

Also, am I allowed to take photographs?

Sorry about asking so many questions in such a short space.

Thanks

You can get multiple autographs. However the prices are per autograph. If you require two then you have to pay for two.

Photographs are normally allowed. If not then there will be signs ststing no photis or no posed photos and/or the crew will inform you.

Also, just wondering - can you ask the actor for two? Even if you payed for one? Surely it's up to them at the end of the the day... correct me if I'm wrong

Absolutely not! If you were meeting an actor outside a stage door or at a premiere that's different, it's up to them, this is an organised event with rules and if you want more than 1 autograph you have to pay for it. The actors are paid to be at these events, the organisers have to cover their fees, flights and accommodation for the actors, the hire of these massive halls, the equipment, staffing, security, etc etc etc. Every guest has a guest assistant sitting with them who will take your money or your voucher and will only allow you to get signed the number you have paid for. Please don't even try this, it's rude and can make the guest very uncomfortable too.

  • 2 weeks later...

At an organised signing event it is disrespectful to the actor, the crew member and your fellow attendees to even think about asking for additional free autographs and could create very difficult and awkward situations, so a definite no !

Chances are you will be able to get a photo with them, unless there is a no photo sign, but it is important to be polite and respectful and chances are most people will oblige.
