The 007 Stage at Pinewood containing a set of Venice for the finale of Casino Royale has been destroyed in a fire, 8 fire engines have been trying to put it out according to C5 news.

I was at Pinewood recently and was on the set, so it is a real shame !
They must have put a lot of effort into creating the Venice set, and it was excellent, at least it will still be there to see on the film, although the hugh blue screen and the water tank may take some time to get back to working order.

I was there to - my 2nd visit to Pinewood Studios - was much better this time as we got to see part of the Casino Royale set - shame the 007 stage burnt down - it first burnt down in 1984 so hopefully this time they can rebuild it

We are indeed the 2 of the lucky few who saw the Casino Royale Venice and airport hanger sets at Pinewood, we also saw Michael Gambon! Last year got to go inside the 007 stage and see The Da Vinci Code sets in early construction.

I didnt get to see Michael Gambon!! Where was he?? But dont mind still had a great time and loved seeing the Casino Royale sets which was different from seeing The Da Vinci Code set - Also got to see Basic Instinct being filmed and Sharon Stone's caravan last year - this year settled with seeing deniro's caravan lol

Saw him on the 2nd tour, before we got to the paddock tank!
