  1. Thank you very much for your responses! They're really helpful to me when trying to picture the whole thing. It's really hard to imagine a con with thousands of people for me. It would seem to me that there is no individual time then at all, but according to the FAQ it sounds like it's still possible for you to talk to them a bit during autographs (or take a picture, provided it's allowed at the moment when it's not busy)? Do you have any experiences with that? The gold pass only includes that you're moved along faster the queues, but doesn't include any photo ops etc by itself, right? I've never been to something with more than 1 hall, either. xD I'm guessing that once you have more than a few (let's say, 5+) photo ops/autographs that you don't really get much time to watch the panels much during the day? And do people line up during panels to ask questions? It's really strange (although kinda cool) to me that some guests are announced so late, because the little cons I've been to would announce more well-known guests plenty of time ahead to make sure they attract guests etc. The problem for me is that at the same time there's a con in Germany and I actually already bought the ticket and I even have a friend there where I could stay. But after I bought it, my favorite guest and main reason to go there (Misha Collins) has been cancelled and there aren't that many other guests that I find that interesting, so I'm considering selling my ticket, provided there are some here that would interest me. (And if the lineup is similar to the summer con, it's guaranteed I like it better! So awesome guests.) Especially since I would like to do a X-men cosplay with a friend and it seems that there's the Guinness World Record attempt of X-Men cosplayers during the Winter con. It's good to know though that the summer guests probably won't be reappearing, though that's too bad in some cases. Would have loved to e.g. meet Milo Ventimiglia or Pedro Pascal. The friend I would go with is worried about crowd size though, I mean I'm a bit worried too, but I think it wouldn't matter as much to me. Thank you very much again!
  2. Hello everyone, I just found out about LFCC yesterday and I've got some questions about the con, mostly about experiences and also so that I can better picture it, if someone has time, I'd be glad about your opinion~ Regarding guests: I've never been to a con with such a big lineup of guests and even famous ones like Stan Lee or Carrie Fisher. Unfortunately, I can't make it in July, because I've only just heard of this con and am already in Asia by then, or I would have bought a ticket straight away. :/ I'm now thinking about going to the next one in October (though I'd have to fly in from another country) and I've been wondering, is it realistic to think that during the winter con, there will be many guests and some of them so well-known, too? Or was this time more of an exception? When would guests usually be announced? Since some absolutely amazing ones like Carrie Fisher were only announced just now, a few weeks from the con, I guess I'm kinda afraid of tickets selling out, though in the FAQ it says they aren't. Since I would come in from another country, I'd have to plan it well, but I hope it's not too late by the time a big guest is announced. I've read that this is the last time Stan Lee will appear and the first one with Carrie? Are there chances that some of the guests in summer will come again in winter or do you usually ask new guests every time? I've only been to a few cons in Germany so far and there the line up is usually much smaller and they don't have the budget for people like Stan Lee, I'm just curious. What's the focus, I mean this is about comics and films obviously, but is there maybe a theme too, like Star Wars and Game of Thrones people, etc.? Is it possible for e.g. the X-men cast to come sometime, too? ( I have to admit I heard of this event through the "X-men Guinness Record cosplayer attempt" that is apparently going to take place in October, so I'm wondering if that con has more to do with X-men then) And about the con: How many people are there usually (just an estimate)? I'm just wondering, because mostly I've been to smaller cons with "a few hundred" people, just trying to make out if I should be afraid if one's bad with maaaasses of people lol. If you buy a photo op / autograph, is it usually guaranteed that you get one, provided you queue at the right time? And not that because there are too many people you will end up with empty hands? And is there maybe still an old schedule around from previous cons, just so I could take a look at how these things go (just wondering if panels and photo OPs are at the same time, and how much there is going on at the same time etc, the ones I've been to always only had one panel and not more simultaneously). Also, as I've said, I'm just curious about any experiences, so if you want to share any impressions or tips, please feel free to :) Thanks a lot in advance~
  3. Oh, and I forgot e.g. Teen Wolf (Tyler Hoechlin, Daniel Sharman, Dylan O'Brien, Tyler Posey, Holland Rhoden, Arden Cho...)
  4. Since I heard about this through a X-men community about the Guinness World Record attempt # 2 to get the most X-men cosplayers (the first one was in Leicester Square before the Days of Future Past premiere, but it failed apparently), I would love if the X-men cast was coming. xD Most of all: James McAvoy (also played in Atonement, The Last King of Scotland, Narnia, Filth, Wanted,...) - he said he likes convention and he seems like such a fun and nice person and surely would attract a lot of guests, although I'm not sure how realistic it is since I'm guessing it might be expensive to hire him. But then again, this con seemed to really go out for high rate (or how do you call that? XD) stars, since they also had Star Wars main cast, Stan Lee, etc. Hugh Jackman also seems like a really funny and exceptionally nice dude with one of the best reputations around Hollywood - and I guess it's always good to have more than 1 person come from a fandom, though Michael Fassbender would function really well with McAvoy, too). (There's a lot of other famous castmembers; Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, and some others that'd be fun like Nicholas Hoult, James Marsden, etc) I loooove a lot of other fandoms, too, but I think the problem is that a lot of TV shows will be shooting in October. I know Supernatural will (and Asylum Con is at the same time), and some Game Of Thrones actors are already at another convention (another show). Some other suggestions would be: Merlin (Bradley James, Colin Morgan, Katie McGrath, John Hurt,...) Heroes (Milo Ventimiglia, Adrian Pascal,...) since both shows aren't shooting anymore Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy,...) "Classics" like Lord of the Rings (Karl Urban, Orlando Bloom, Liv Tyler, Elijah Wood...) and Game of Thrones (Pedro Pascal, Richard Madden, Jack Gleeson, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke...) maybe someone from Avengers and respective Marvel movies fandom (Tom Hiddleston although they're all high... rate? too. Maybe Sebastian Stan?)
  6. Going just by the memento (photo or signed item) I like photos better than autographs, but during cons I still somehow prefer getting autographs to a part, because the photo OPs I've done so far were pretty rushed and at autographs you usually get to exchange a few words with the person at least.
  7. Hello, I have a few questions too :) Regarding guests: I've never been to a con with such a big lineup of guests and even famous ones like Stan Lee or Carrie Fisher. I'm sorry for the TL;DR, I just highlighted my question now lol. And I'll continue to look around the board. Also, I have to say that so far, this seems by far the most organized con board I've seen so far, with clear information in the FAQs! I'm really impressed, I hope I can come to the next one.
