Payment, etc.

Being new to conventions in general, but Massive Events in particular, I ordered a silver package for Chevron 8.1 the other day (9th Feb) and used my credit card to pay. Looking at my online account, I can't see the available funds going down, nor can I see a transaction for £148.

 

How long do these things usually take to process?

It's a manual process so it can take a few days :) don't worry too much. You'll be contacted if there are any issues.

Phew - thanks DavidB. The bit that says:

 

"When making a purchase please make sure you enter your card details correctly when in the payment section of the site. Any person who does not enter their card details correctly are unlikely to receive automatic notification that they entered details incorrectly, which could result in not receiving your order. Please check that the payment has been taken from your bank account. "

 

is a bit unnerving - used to automatic payment gateways, etc. If there is any chance of adding something that states that it might take a couple of days to process would be more reassuring.

Trouble was it was a bit disconnected/disjointed from the BT Stores site that one uses to order and pay (e.g. http://www.btowstore.com/epages/Store3.sf/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Store3.Shop1990) - but point taken. Will remember for next time (Sherlocked, I hope).

I had the same reaction but waited a couple of days and then the transaction showed :)
