1st Sensory Legion/ Extreme Clowning - Please say Hi

Hi Everyone

 

Just to remind you that me, my wife and Jimmy will be there on Saturday.

This will be Jimmys first collectormania - and he is so excited.

 

Jimmy is both Deaf and blind - so if you dont mind your costumes being touched

or have anything of interest we can feel, pleasde come and say hi

 

we will be walking around interpreting the day to him

 

I have already posted a similar post but since the sensory legion has been set up

and we have started our own star wars event especilly for visually impaired and disabled people, so many folk want to say hi

which is encouraging

 

we hope to feel a few characters that are new to Jimmy and any photos will go on our blog

 

so dont be shy, Jimmy is very gentle

and fully understands the price of costumes

by using costumes and toys he is able to build uop a picture in his head

he also knows they are not real, and are just people dressed up

I expect there will be people in waaay more exciting costumes than mine but I will have a couple of Star Trek accessories with me, like a tricorder and phaser which he can touch and feel. I really really want to say hi to you guys because my mum has a visual impairment and I'm always keen to raise awareness and help where I can :)
