Hello, I'm heading up London Film and Comic Con's anime, manga and video gaming presence this year. I'm from Animeleague, who are the UK's largest anime community, and who have teamed up with Showmasters to help to expand anime, manga and video gaming at this event.

It's great to see a uniformly positive reaction from everyone here. The Artist Alley is open to everyone, regardless of ability. Team Dimension also accept signups of all abilities, so if you want to learn how to improve and sharpen up your skills (even if you're an absolute beginner), you can check out what they're about on the 18th/19th July at the Artist Alley!

Of course, in addition to this, the Artist Alley is a fantastic place to hang out, chill and to make new friends.

To give you guys a preview, here's some events in the Artist Alley that we have planned -

- Cardboard Box Robot Making Contest - Throughout the day there will be a supply of cardboard boxes and materials to let you build your own robots and mecha! Best entry will win a prize.

- Iron Artist - Competitors battle it out against the clock, using all their ability and imagination in the "winner takes all" knock-out contest. Iron Artist will be judged by a top-notch panel of professional artists.

- Gundam Model Making/Painting Panel - GundamNation and Kustom Model Works will be hosting a Mecha Making Panel and Contest. This is something which will appeal to mecha fans, and enthusasics of model making.

- RPG Mashup - The Artist Alley is not just for artists, but also caters for more niche activities. We will be looking toward running some pen and paper (not LARP) roleplaying in the Artist Alley.

- Japanese Manga and Western Comics Creation Classes.

- Art Wall - There will be a wall within the Artist Alley for everyone to pin what they draw on it. At the end, we will judge the best drawings, and give prizes.

Much more to come!
