nicky Posted November 14, 2006 Share Posted November 14, 2006 (edited) In France due to the metric system, the McDonald's quarter pounder burger is called a "Royale with Cheese" (according to John Travolta in Pulp Fiction). In France to help promote Casino Royale perhaps the French McDonald's could do a tie-in promotion called the "Casino Royale with Cheese"?? Oh and if you didn't get it already...I am joking. Incidentally, Quentin Tarantino, writer/director of Pulp Fiction had at one stage (before Daniel Craig and Casino Royale were announced) expressed interest in 2005 in directing a remake of Casino Royale with Pierce Brosnan just as Brosnan was dropped from the franchise. Coincidently Casino Royale was then announced sometime later as the next Bond film - whether Tarantino's desire to make a Bond remake of Casino Royale actually influenced the Bond producers is still unknown but Tarantino himself is reported to have not been happy that the producers neglected to give him some recognition for influencing their decision when the new film was announced.
