Shouldn't be odd title thread, after all lets remember this event called a convention isn't it.

I just want to put the word out to several dealers i know from conventions i know and go to on a regular monthly basis.

The poster guy. or my nick name for him. i always see this guy booth and ask him how business is. thought i just put the word out to him and say thanks for the Resident Evil 2 poster, which i'm gonna put up tonight. I also want to say i enjoy looking at the inspirational artwork from the independent artwork dealers. I got great respect for the artists at cons who sell their incredible works. and i've got to really save enough to buy some of their art in the future as i find myself on a similar path as a espiring artist.

I met one artist at his booth with his wife and had a really meaningful brief talk. He might not know it, but he inspired me enough to, want to do what he does in the field of art. I don't know if it's right to name him or his company outright so i'll leave it to anyone's wild guesses. But if he is reading this, i've got your flyer and will check out your website like i said.

Meeting and socialising with the dealers, was to me just as enjoyable as meeting the stars. i divided my time between seeing the stars and visiting the dealers who sell their products. Comics, DVD's, Posters, Merchandise, Artwork, Trading Cards, Toy Figures, Games, food even did anyone find the time to distract themselves and check out the various booths?!

Come on what did you do besides queue up and meet the guests. What stories can you share out.

I guess both -

Yeah, judging by the people who saw them i sure alot came along to buy stuff not only to get it signed but merchandise to take home. But it's the art and comic dealers who should get recognised more. alot of stuff on offer you don't have the money for, but you always imagine what "said" poster, painting etc would look like on your wall?!

That and just plain taking to them is a great enough experience to take home with you.

STAR FEATURES. Graham was very helpful. I had a damaged Star Wars DVD I wanted to change for a better copy.

They asked me if I had the packaging which I did not have so they can tell Royal Mail it was damaged. They said they could not exchange it however they gave me a FREE pen, FREE bar of chocolate and half price off the Stargate 2005 Calender. It normally costs £9.99. I just paid £5.00 Bargain.

I think you are talking about Andy and Emma from SmokeyCreative. I have to agree they are really nice.

I haven't spoken to Andy as such, but I bought a painting from them at C5, (my biggest extravagance yet), and Emma saw me this weekend and recognised me. We had a little chat which was nice, and their artwork is great. Very friendly people. :D
