  1. ha ha no, I have some empty shot gun shells, so once they are signed, each one is going in a frame with a tiny pic of the character, and a shotgun...with 'in case of zombies - break glass' on it LOL

    Yep...huge geek XD

Norman cancelled at a con is the US the other day, my friend was going to see him, but he wasn't there, I made a cake of Daryl Dixon and she was going to show him a pic :(

I hope he is a man of his word and comes back this year ;) xxx

    Bradley Gregg...this dude is awesome!

Looking amazing I have to say!

The crew member sat with him said WOW...I have seen some themed weddings before, but not like this one!!

Bradleys son was also there who got his little camera out to take a picture. As we got a photo with Bradley instead of saying 'say cheese' he said 'everybody say I do!' which made us laugh here whilst he managed to keep a straight face! ^^^ LOL

Mark Patton is the lovely actor who played Jesse in Nightmare on Elm Street 2.

Well like any other totally obsessed film stalker I added him on facebook maybe a few years ago now?

One day I noticed a picture on his wall....it was a Freddy Cake I had made! So I told him I had made it, and that if he ever came over to the UK I'd have some cupcakes for him :)

Well....he finally DID come over the UK...this weekend! It was also his birthday only a few weeks ago.

the sugar skull is to represent some of the art he now sells in Mexico, 'he's inside me' is a famous quote from the film, which has been dubbed as the 'first gay horror film' with the amount of not-so subtle references in the film ;)

'Touch me all night long' is the name of the song played in one of my favouirite scenes of the movie when hes dancing in his bedroom. If youre a total mega fan...youll know that wasn't the original that he danced too due to not having enough funding to pay for the original Tina Turner tune he REALLY danced to.

Scream Queen, because if youve seen it you will know that he rivals any scream queen from any horror movie ha ha

There is no Jesse is the reference to little journal entries Mark recently wrote.

and the couple in bed is a very minute small version of a birthday cake he said he wanted.....LOL

I presented them to him in which he pulled out HIS camera and asked me to pose for a photo with them ha ha.

ha ha his little face makes me laugh XD

As soon as I spoke he said : oo your a Lancashire Lass!

ha ha...I STILL had to spell out my name. No-one can understand what I say even if they themselves are from the UK ha ha

    539518_10151121953788323_1707905093_n.jpg

ha ha He is so funny XD

He was saying he was jealous of my accent and he had spent time on his mates farm in the lakes where a farmer had continually threatened his dog - but for an entire week he couldnt tell a word he was saying, until he realizes it was : If yer dog, dun't, p*ss owf, am gunna tie it t' mi traaactor and fu**n' kill it!' ha ha ha

as we stood up for the photo he let out a loud TRAAAAACCCEY in a spot on Lancashire accent which made us laugh ^^^^ ha ha

  5. Do people really complain there's too many guests and can't afford them all? Wow that's a pretty silly argument! Having lots of guests is a good thing! It's not showmasters fault how much money they can afford! Lol

Infact having more guests would be better as it wouldn't be too bad when people drop out etc. can we please still have ludo!!

Yep we certainly had a few say that kinda thing about LFCC. So yeah I'm sure you can see how no matter what happens, there'll still be some people that don't like it. It's an impossible situation lol

Lol wow! You must rip your hair out lmao. My points may come across as stupid to some (they are always a valid point to me at the time lol) but that's ridiculous! Hey showmasters you didn't lend me £50 for my photoshoots! Lol ;)

I think it's clear people will complain about anything ;)

Lol true....your not wearing pink underpants today....it's just not acceptable :P lol xx

  6. The red dwarf shoot lasted for an hour so wasn't over by 3:20pm. Lots of people still attended the shoot so not convinced by the argument that because DJJ was a no show loads of people cancelled their shoot - this wasn't the case.

I hadn't pre booked the shoot, as I arrived I found the booth with all the leaflets on and said is there any tickets left for the red dwarf shoot?

I got a very sharp 'no its been and gone' I said 'oh....I thought it was a little later?' To which she said 'yes DJJ had to cancel so we did the shoot with the other 3.....'

But she was rather abrupt. As if she had probably had arguments about it already that day ha ha I was only enquiring though so felt a little taken aback.

I then asked if she had any leaflets with the times for photoshoots and autograph prices (I had these at other events to help me keep upto date) and I got another very abrupt 'no' I just oh....ok thanks! I didn't quite know what to say she looked rather fed up.

Other crew members I spoke to were all very helpful though :) I was gutted about missing it and Chris Barrie said it may happen again :) ha ha

    .

Have a far busier event, and then suddenly people complain there are too many big guests and they can't afford everyone. It's often a lose/lose situation when you're an organiser.

balance of scales views there are many. Too busy good for some, bad for others, too quiet good for some bad for others. :yoda:

Lol very true! I totally understand how being quiet can be good for people. But I just hope my point makes people think of the guests feelings as well as our own - it's not all about us sometimes.

But your right views are many! Xxx

  7.

I can't understand any attendee who complains because it wasnt busy enough.

    think about it......

if a guest has come over and its not busy....they might think its a waste of time...and NEVER come back.

Hence you dont get to meet people you want too......

I would rather it be packed to the rafters and the guest itching to come to another show so I get to see them again/or see them if i missed them the first time.

If I was a guest coming from the US and had traveled on a plane getting jet lagged and stopping in a strange country just for a handful of autographs and HOURS of sitting at a desk twiddling thumbs I wouldn't bother next time x

I'm thinking from the guests perspective.

  8. Oh of course....people drop out and thats just the way its going to be sometimes.its no-ones fault especially if stuff has to be worked around filming.

I don't want people to take opinions to heart etc. Just hoping some of it makes sense to maybe help future shows. Do you know when you love something that much you just really want to help....it sparks strong opinions. So anyone having a right go on here just really really loves the shows and wants to see them at the best they can be :)

Please remember that :) dont take it to heart or as 'complaining' but we just love the things so damn much we want them to be awesome ha ha. and sometimes some of us think our opinions are vaild ones XD x

Jason....are there any plans for a strong Walking Dead line-up soon? I cant wait if there is LOL I was gutted when Norman Reedus had to drop out!

    xx

  9. unfortunately I didnt have access to the forum on the way down on the train....no damn wifi!! ha ha

london film and comic con, and milton keynes are far superior really though so I think I will just stick to those. EMS is great for people who are more local...but I dont think i could pay to travel to it again.

Just sticking my 2 cents worth in to hope it helps x

  10. OK, Im going to bullet point mine....theres a few issues LOL

    Good:

most of the crew were really helpful and lovely :)

Had more time to talk to the guests and less time to queue

met some really awesome people that I had become friends with on facebook due to these events

    Bad:

1 crew member...not helpful at all...

I had arrived and paid to get in on the Saturday at 3.20pm straight from the train to get the Red Dwarf and boxers signatures (as they were only there Saturday) and our main day was Sunday but we rushed and paid to get in anyway. To be told the Red Dwarf photo shoot had already happened (scheduled for 4.15-5.15pm)...so even though we had plenty of time....they decided off their own backs just to do it earlier despite people making plans. that SUCKED.

    Ludo...nowhere in sight...

Craig Charles...left early and then when we tried to get him on the Sunday we assumed he had gone for his dinner...only to realize he had left early again!

    Boxers...no where to be seen

the show was EMPTY. fair enough we didn't have to queue, but there were half the amount of stalls....which majority of the stall holders looked bored to tears.

Yep I get the points about being able to walk around, see stalls, no queues. But some of those guests were first time signers in the UK....and as they sat there at their desk with no queues for HOURS on end....I doubt very much they would like to come back! which is very unfair. If they are first UK signers....show them to a big show to wet their appetite to come back again. I felt really embarrassed and sorry for them. I just feel that 'new' guests should be at the bigger shows to encourage them to come back :( poor souls!

I had booked train tickets to return home on the Sunday at 6pm. We had walked round the stalls that many times after getting all our autographs in under an hour that I could probably memorize every item they sold LOL we had over 4 hours to kill....and man was that hard!

I have decided I will probably never attend an EMS again. I have been to Milton Keynes and London Film and Comic con, and knowing this was more of a 'side' convention rather than a main one I still wasn't expecting no outside queues at all and the inside to be absolutely dismal.

The Guests who were there and the people/crew made it bearable. They were all FANTASTIC (bar one!)! and enjoyed myself just for those alone.

I'm afraid I would rather queue for hours and get bumped around stalls than pay over £300 in train and hotel etc to attend EMS again :(

    This was Olympia in July:

    561071_10150960282848323_684378297_n.jpg

the excitement was much more intense!

we only used half of the room this time and the stalls had to be spread out to fill the space.

Do you think maybe you are trying to do too many shows? and maybe stick with doing less....but filling the place more?

    Just a thought xx
