  1. Thats very true , Waiting now for the Milton Keynes Collectormania Photo CD . Gav Oh you poor one. So the waiting continues. All fingers and toes crossed here that you'll hopefully not have to wait that long with the Milton Keynes Photo CD!
  2. Wee! I got it yesterday, just as you predicted, Cavaliere! Feels like a miracle! Oh, man, I almost feel a bit sad after we've waited here together and all... but maybe we'll be gathering soon again waiting for our next gold pass foto cd, huh?

  4. Thanks for the news, Cavaliere, hmm... so there's still hope. And... we have a NAME!!! So if those photo cd's don't get here in time, Andrea is gonna get loads of e-mails to her attention! Oh gosh, after this long wait it seems kinda unreal to think that we might actually get the cd's.

  6. Hey, I'm not that bad - haven't quite gotten on the list of 'extreme LOTR fans that are not (under any circumstances) to be allowed into the building' yet. Oh and Jamila - did you get put in a room with a double bed when asking for a single, or a twin room? I got shoved in a room with a double bed. Not quite sure whether that's there idea of single or not, but the price is still the same so I am not complaining. Heehee... my thoughts, exactly. They probably ran out of 'real' single rooms and are using the doubles now for us. It says double standard room, whatever that means. I do not mind at all as long as they don't charge me for double.
  7. If you need to stay there on the 22nd, I would suggest you follow it up sooner rather than later, in case they get booked up for that night. It may well be that she only confirmed 23-26 as they might be the only dates that the conference discount applies to. Try ringing up again and booking for the 22nd with the discount code. That'll let you know whether the code applies. Thanks, TommyT. I did and hooray! She managed to correct the date. But instead, she booked me a double instead of a single room and AGAIN left me guessing as to why. So i lazily enquired by email again. I do not really care, if needs be I'll adopt someone to share the room with me, all that counts is that I can stay from 22nd-26th. Whew. *is exhausted* Thank you so very much! Without you I'd still have no room, I'm sure! I was looking back to find your name, but just couldn't see it. Probably the stress.
  8. Thanks all you people for posting your reports on how to get a reservation. Here I always thought making a reservation would be easy. How naive of me. Here's my little success story. - After waiting forever we got the authorisation code. - I sent an e-mail to Radisson Edwardian Heathrow (ResReh@Radisson.com) with my request for a room reservation. No reaction. - I filled in the contact form on the REH website and sent that off. No reaction. - I called the number Showmasters tells us to call: 0208 817 0761. The guy on the phone was unfriendly and unhelpful and even kicked me out of the line! - I called the number that one of you lovely people posted here (THANK YOU SO MUCH!): 0208 759 63 11 ... and BINGO! Lovely lady on the phone took my reservation and sent me a confirmation by email within ten minutes after the call! Yes! Plus she knew about the reduction. Of course, there is a minor flaw in this. She confirmed from 23rd - 26th Nov, even though I repeated about FOUR times that I'm making a reservation for 22nd - 26th Nov. But really, after this odyssey and all the waiting and wrecked nerves, I don't have the energy to fight for this one missing day. I did write back though but my email is still unanswered so who knows... On the other hand I'm so relieved that I will stay there for the whole weekend that I'm not throwing a tantrum over one day. Whew.

  10. Any news anyone? If I weren't busy struggling to get my gold ticket for another show UK and the stay at the hotel there I'd be pretty annoyed but as it is I'm almost on my knees and would appreciate just anything from showmasters at all. Really, I'm not picky anymore.... sigh.
  11. Say, Jola, maybe you could help me out here. I'm one of the homeless ones that cannot register cause our country's not on the list (Switzerland). I did place an order for a gold ticket via email though (through Dirk from another show Germany to Jason). Did you ever get to see this order? I would really like to know if it got to the right people at all and if possible, just have a little confirmation by email to reassure my wrecked nerves since there was sensitive data in that email and all. Well I may have some news on the Gold Pass Photo CD Front :) I spoke to someone at Showmasters a day or so ago and asked about the Phot CD For GMex , And was told that there have been some problens with getting the CD`s Made , Not sure exactly what the problems were but they were about to send out Collectormania 10 Photo CD`s and the Gmex Photo CD`s were due to be sent withing the next 2-3 Weeks , So hopefully we should receive something within the next few weeks :) Gav :) Ohhh... that would be so good! I don't like waiting so long but if all turns out well in the end I might consider buying Gold Passes again in the future. Thanks for passing on the news, Gav! Jamila *
  13. Thanks for the welcome, Aspen. Honestly I wonder what takes so long. The photos would've been taken back in November, right? So then there's developping, sticking a cd in the comp and burn the stuff. And we're not that many with gold passes either. Hmm. I don't like to be promised something and then not get it. I suppose we're just gonna stick around here for a while. I'm glad if you guys phone them, I'm not sure if I could do that (my English's not good enough for that). I just keep sending e-mails, always polite but nevertheless insistant. At some point they're gonna be so fed up with us that they're just gonna send the darn photo cd's. *evil grin* Apart of that, they'd have a lot less work at showmasters if they just answered our first e-mail rather than wait until they have 50 with the same content from each disappointed gold pass holder. Right?
