I own a postcard, that Carrie wrote to me back in the late 1970s thanking me for a gift I sent her, and she signed it Princess Leia. Guess I am one of the few.

Wasn't this convention mostly a Star Wars reunion thing? So why no Princess Leia! Some guests live up their own arses.

My sister and I entered the costume competition at C4. That was almost a disaster too. The organisers seemed to have forgotten about it, and it was all a rushed last minute thing. Unfortunately it looks like the showmasters do not read the comments or feedback after each show, because they are not learning by their mistakes.

Miranda was the only reason that I was going to attend C6. Ah well

From experience, the costume competitions are always badly run. I entered it at C4. I was lucky to come second, but to be honest the organisers had forgotten all about it! I know how much time and effort goes into creating these costumes, and they are a big part of events such as these. It't a pity that the organisers do not take these competions more seriously.

*Waves to Geoff* who totally made my day, recognising me, even though out of costume, from C4!

Sala because of the enormous hug I got off him!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and Geoff too (spelt that right!) Geoff is a crew member and he was sitting on the JRD table (I think) Geoff remembered me from C4! At that event I wondered around dressed as Eowyn for 2 days, and when Geoff saw me, on Saturday, he recognised me!!!! I was gobsmacked! YOU MADE MY DAY GEOFF! *blows a kiss*

Told you not to hold your breath for the giveaway didn't I? *sighs*

High Five Buff Daddy!!!...

The showmasters knew Billy was going to be be late, so why on earth did they issue so many tickets! It was bad enough at C4, when all us fans were herded past the stars, and the SMs gladly lined their pockets with the notes we were paying for their autographs. To me the bloody autograph is not important, what is, is talking to the celeb, and having a picture taken with them. When will SM learn that the fans do have feelings, and the fans can get very fed up, and the fans can think, OH NO, IT'S AN EVENT RUN BY THEM, I AIN'T GONNA BOTHER GOING!!!!

Yep the getting swamped by fans was not true at all. I think they must have been at the exhibition for about 15 - 20 minutes in total!

Jumps on the 'met Viggo bandwagon' Sis... Elulla is a mega Viggo fan! And unfortuantely couldn't make the ROTK Premiere the night before. Which was a shame because Viggo was there and I was lucky enough to get his autograph! Anyway we met up the next day at the museum to see the exhibition. When I saw Viggo appear with Karl Urbon I turned sis around, and believe me she rocked on her feet. Actually she was frozen to the spot until I kicked us both into action, and we veered off through the displays in order to be just in the right place as they made their way through. And guess what!!! Sis was shy!!! So I went forward to Viggo held out my hand and thanked him for coming to the Premiere, he took my hand and shook it and told me that I was very welcome. I asked him if he had seen the exhibition yet and he said he had not... this was the first time, so I said that I hope that he enjoys it. Then I moved on to Karl and said something of the same. Thank God when I looked back Elulla had stepped forward and was shaking Viggo's hand. I was so pleased for her!!!!! Later on I got to say goodbye to them both too. As they left the museum no one knew who they were!!! Heheh! Except me. I shouted 'BYE' to them, and they both turned to me, waved and said goodbye. What a brilliant day that was.

Wow!!! Thank you Elulla, and everyone else! What an unexpected surprise!!

Errrmmm... Elulla, who quoted the above, is my sister.. and actually she did make two LOTR costumes!!! God she is going to kill me for doing this... but here is a pic of us wearing them at C4: Elulla is on the far right wearing the Arwen costume and I am standing next to her wearing the Eowyn costume. I can tell you we had an absolute blast wearing those costumes! So many people took photos of us, and even some wanted to pose with us! She won first prize by the way, and I received runner up! Now I must run and hide... sorry sis!!!

Don't hold your breath for an answer from SM. It was like getting blood out of a stone with regards them answering questions on the costume competion at C4.

*Big* The last collectormania will be hard to beat. I just hope that the orgnanistion is better than last time and that visitors are treated more like human beings and not cattle.

C4 was manic! And not organised terribly well. I do not think that the SM's expected the mobs that turned up. If Elijah ever attends another Collectormania event again I will be very very surprised!
