  1. Also - will he been signing any thing or will there be 'rools and regs' like at the bun fight at the Space Centre in leicester in 2005????
  2. A friend of mine and I travelled from York on the Saturday and are very pleased we went. Well done to the organisors for all there hard work, I got all the astronauts/cosmonauts and Sgt. Johnson & Capt. Brown's autograph - oh and don't forget Sy's!!! I found them all very patitent and funny. If any one is interested I have posted some pictures on the Midland Spaceflight Society's Yahoo! page, if you would like to look (and perhaps join) you are very welcome. Also bought a very nice picture of Alexie Leonov on ASTP that he had signed with Tom Stafford. All in all a very memorable day and one I hope to repeat next year. regards and bests to all von Dawson's Express PS Any chance of US/Russian Planetary Scientists? Boris Chertok or (and...) Caroline Porco? Linda Hyder who worked on Voyager is credited with discovering the first active volcano on another celestial body other than Earth (Io, Jupiter)?? PS How about just a pure spaceflight signing???
  3. How can you compare Buzz Aldrin and Jim Lovell on a like to like basis. Both are true heroes for different reasons and examples of living history in their own right and to refer to the latter as inferior is, in my opinion, way out of order. You also have to remember that these are private individuals and (may I say) getting on in years and probably find if it difficult been dragged across the Atlantic and shoved in front of some bright lights and a mass of public. Lets show them some respect. I won't be asking any questions but thanking them for there work and entertainment/interest over the years. regards one an' all, von Dawson's Express PS the above comment 'How can you compare...' is so true...
  4. How about the cast from the film, 'The Right Stuff' and perhaps the people they portrayed – say Chuck Yeager, John Glenn and Walter Schirra. This would be a good follow up to the Apollo 13 crew... ...and then there's Gunther Wendt and Gene Kranz. how about it???
  5. As you get older, the mortage finishes, the brat(s) leave home, relations with wills die off, you've collected everything you ever wanted any way and you don't drink and waste money hense the money pot increases!!! Yahoo, am 48 and can't wait for Saturday!!! It will be my first time and hope its good as you folk say. Regards and stuff von Dawson's Express To be fair Indio you cannot base it all on age, I'm 23 but have agreed with most of your guest suggestions. And would much rather see classic film stars than those from current tv shows.
  6. Hi Folks, first time here, I have two of his books, 'Wings of the Luftwaffe' and 'Wings of the Weird and Wonderful', they make fantastic reading, if Capt. Brown had not made it as a testpilot I guess he would have been a author of some repute. His books can occasionally turn up at second book shops, try Midland Counties. regards and bests von Dawson's Express
