  1. Hey Graphic_Delusions, David Naughton was an open queue yesterday morning, with a longish but fluidly moving line when I was there. Definitely a popular guest.

  3. @ Queen_Sindel: 80 minutes? Ouch! I think I actually kinda want to see that version now, just because... wow, nearly 20 minutes cut? @ Simon Pegg: It is unfortunate, but I think that the lack of special features on these smaller films is just something that has to be accepted as a fact of life. Wedlock was a made-for-TV movie (HBO) in 1991, so it was not even shot in widescreen despite most of the current DVD releases presenting it as such. In all likelihood, there probably never was much in the way of material that could be used as potential bonus features for a special edition release. So with a film like Wedlock, once you have disregarded the cut German release (the FSK-16 one) and any versions that you may have region compatibility issues with, I think it really just comes down to just picking the one with the cover that you hate the least. This is quite a useful site for comparing different releases. It would be great if a company that actually gave a damn picked up titles like Wedlock and Salute of the Jugger and gave them a decent release, but I try not to get too optimistic about these things. Then again, there was a time when I never thought I would see Blu-ray releases for the likes of Street Trash, Night of the Creeps, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Highway to Hell, Frankenhooker...
  4. @ Queen_Sindel: Yeah? Well, that all sounds quite horrible - "heavily cut" is never a selling point for me. I have the British 2-Disc Special Edition DVD which I think is probably still the best available version out of the very limited options right now. I'm I read somewhere that, in America at least, HBO is the problem because they seemingly have no interest in releasing their back catalogue stuff. As 2016 is the 30th Anniversary of The Hitcher, hopefully someone somewhere will do something Blu-ray to commemorate that... @ Simon Pegg: There are quite a few Wedlock DVDs on eBay, most for around the £5 - £10 mark, so it depends on your definition of a "decent price" really, and also your DVD playback capabilities. Most do seem to be European releases so they would be Region 2, but there are also a few American and Australian versions.
  5. I actually like Salute of the Jugger (aka The Blood of Heroes), or at least I think I do... I remember it being quite violent, but I actually haven't seen it since the days of VHS. (I think Joan Chen did this right before Twin Peaks). If you are going to build up your Rutger Hauer film library, you will be needing Sin City, Hobo With A Shotgun, Wedlock and, of course, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. I can't believe that The Hitcher is not available on Blu-ray anywhere in the world right now, 'cos that would be my preference of something to get signed.
  6. Yeah, what nicky said. There were a few dealers with Hot Toys figures - I did see a lot of Predators, a couple of the Iron Man armours, some older Terminator pieces, Man of Steel etc - but I don't think either of the RoboCop figures* or the Terminator T-800 (Battle Damaged Version) figure are even in stock at Sideshow Collectibles (Hot Toys official US outlet) and the UK is usually a couple of months behind, so I would imagine December or January is quite likely for those two. I'm not sure if I am allowed to recommend on-line retailers on this forum, but Google is your friend. * And there is now the RoboCop (Battle Damaged Version) and pre-cyborg Alex Murphy-in-police-uniform set to consider.
