Me and my sister will be going Standard for this... I have 3 other cons planned for 2010 so far!!

 

I was planning on Hub next year but have been to the last 3 so I think I will leave the next one:)

I'm going to ET3 and will be getting tickets for ET4, Bitten and this very soon!! I really hope Housebroken and Bitten don't get cancelled because I have booked the hotels for them and they are non-refundable!!!

 

I think I must be one of the only people who have never watched Torchwood!!

In all honesty, I listen to every type of music... (I have to being a DJ's assistant!) but my absolute favourite is Rock, Pop and Musicals/Movie Soundtracks. Pretty much everything that has been written so far is awesome.

 

Dragonforce, The Rasmus, Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Linkin Park, Bloodhoung Gang, Queens of the Stone Age.... Don't forget the 80's classic rock too!!

 

I can't listen to dancey/trancey noice, same as hip hop and R'n'B. My brain can't translate that into enjoyable music I'm afraid!

 

Oh yeeeah, just subtly mention The Rasmus there... If only their music got played at that prom.

 

I'd say what bands I like but sadly I can't come to ET2 so if it got played only Sarey could half-enjoy it. xD But just so y'allz know...

I totally agree with Big Brother I have to admit. There's only so many times you can recycle a reality TV show. At this rate the same thing'll happen to The X Factor.

 

On the other hand... Happy Days was class.

[Films that you don't get.]

To be honest I'm not a film person but from the films I have seen, I don't get why Phone Booth is so popular.

It popular cos it's a good Hitchcockian thriller and keeps the viewer on the edge on their seat and has that "there's something out there waiting for us" vibe to keep it pushing forwards. It's a dialogue driven film and takes place in just one location and has no need for SFX so from a film-making point of view it has its merits in terms of writing and simplicity.

 

Also its a story of redemption; something of an eye-opener and applicable to anyone. It's a story that can happen to anyone - in the film, Stu is a normal typical everyday man who is picked out by a sniper.

 

Well that's true, I spose. But like I said I really am not a film person.

I live in Tamworth and I am a nurse.

 

I have just come home from my first convention which was the Twilight Prom in Birmingham. I had such a fantastic time time and met some great friendly people.

 

I ahve always loved Vampire movies, TV and books since I was really little. Safe to say the last couple of years have been a delight to me.

 

I look forward to getting to know you all and having great chats. I will put a photo on when I find a decent one.
