    With someone of her Worldwide fame I'm guessing her price will still be around the same.

    More to the point, whilst her re-appearance so soon may not have been predictable (one assumes that she found the experience far more pleasant/less dreadful than she imagined), it would be a bit of a kick in the teeth for everyone who spent out last year based on "This will be her first and only planed European signing, please do not expect to get another chance to meet Gillian in the near future and this will be a rare chance." if her price now was radically slashed. So based on being fair to those who supported her appearance last time, the fact that there are almost certainly people who didn't see her last time, or did but have other stuff to sign, meaning that there's still likely to be quite a demand, and assuming that she hasn't radically cut her fee, I would suspect that her price will indeed be pretty much around what itr was last time.

     

    I, to be honest I was quite surprised when she was announced yesterday, for those of us who were on this forum last year would remember the "BIG GUEST!" thread and people throwing ALL kinds of names out there, for those of us who were ardent X-Files Fans we weren't even going to be so stupid as to guess it was Gillian for we all knew what she was like with signing X-Files.

     

    Wasn't gonna happen.

     

    Then of course the forum went nuts and crashed and I'd heard on Twitter who it was and I couldn't believe it! For many of us this was a huge thing at the time, and people were worried (I for one) if or not we'd see the dreaded "Guest cancellation..." between then and when she was due to attend.

     

    I didn't exactly have the best kind of budget, although being a Fan I knew that this was a HUGE Guest and very rare, for those who either saw me on here or indeed on Twitterwould've seen me agonising over what to get signed or not get signed or how many to go for yadda yadda yadda.

     

    Do I regret this?

     

    Nope. Will I be expletived off to the back teeth if she's any less? Not really, as I don't expect she will be - BUT if she is then whatever the price I am considering paying now wont be affected, I will STILL be going for the 5 limit because lets face it, this is Gillian we're talking about - my thinking is that if IF she is less (which I most certainly doubt) then I'll ask her to sign my paperback of "Great Expectations."

     

    And, IF her price remains then there will be ardent Fans who will fork out (albeit in some cases begrudingly) the £45.

     

    A BIG Guest demands a BIG price tag and those devoted enough will pay it.

    I understand that you are a true fan, as am I... but unfortunately it's not me as a person who is complaining about the price of her auto.. it is my bank account.

    I am a father of 2 children and have a mortgage and can't afford to go and spend a lot of money to meet a lot of people and get a lot of autos... i wish i could.

     

    I really really want to meet her, but if her auto does cost £45, then I won't be able to meet her. Not my choice i'm afraid.

    Hey guys...

     

    How likley is it that Tim Burton would go to an event like this?

    He is by far my favourite movie maker and I would do anything to meet him.

     

    I know he lives here in the UK, so surely it can't be impossible to get him to go to an event?

     

    PLease Showmasters... pull those magic strings you have and get him to come to MK. :)

    Unfortunately i didn't get to meet Christopher Lloyd which was a little disappointing. This might be unpopular but I believe he is too cheap; he should be around the £45 mark. Worth noting that there are already signed items on fleabay while real fans miss out. (Whinge over) Note for people attending on Sunday and hoping to meet Christopher Lloyd; I believe his vq cut off today was around 380 (please correct if wrong) so if you're over that on Sunday then you might have to prepare yourself for disappointment.

     

     

    I was number 591 and I got to meet him about 5:30ish... :angel:

    I was the 4th or 5th person who met him...

    He apologised to everyone in the line about the hand and about the not so good signature.

    He was obviously in a lot of pain, but turned up anyway.

    He was so nice to chat to and was a really nice guy.

     

    Does anyone know what he did to his hand?

    When he came walking to the table, it looked like it wasn't just his hand, but the whole right side of his body.

    He was leaning to the right and his head was tilted too.

    I was really worried about him.

     

    ClockworkOwen18: Yes, he did go early.

    I think he left about 5 o'clock.

     

    Clive is a legend and meeting him today only makes me respect the guy even more.

    A question for Showmasters...

    I am happy if this is not Showmasters decision, but when i was at Collectormania 17, i overheard and also read on the forum about guests refusing a posed photo because they were told not to so that more people went to the photoshoot.

     

    Either way, i will keep my fingers crossed as to whether the people i want to meet will allow me to lean. :blink:

    I am really looking forward to this event, and i honestly believe that this could probably be the best event you guys have ever put together.

    I have never had a list of people I want to meet this big before at any other events, so well done and thank you for your hard work.

    I really appreciate the time you guys put into getting big guests signed up.

     

    The question i want to ask is this... is the day going to get ruined by most guests having the dreaded "NO POSED PHOTOS" sign behind them?

     

    This is the only part of Collectormania and LFCC that i really don't like.

    I completely understand if the guests has a HUGE line of people waiting to meet them and they need to speed things up a bit, but i really don't like the idea of the guests being told that they are not allowed to do it just so more people will pay more money for the photo op.

     

    I have had a couple of photo ops before even if the guests were allowing over that table pictures so i think that it's just being a bit mean and should still give the customers and guests the choice. :YAHOO:

     

    Please please please don't put the sign behind the guests unless they are super busy and you really need it there.

    It's the only thing that sometimes helps me decide whether to meet some of them at all.

     

    I will always continue to go to your events as i believe they are the best in the country.
