  1. And if I'm the only one in a ballgown, then it's me! We should have the first dance! heheh!
  2. Ahhhh yes, Mr Bush, didn't he promise a landing on Mars in the not too distant future? How long till the election?
  3. Showmasters did say that because two of the Eclipse guests are now confirmed for Gmex one week before that saves them money, so I guess that means there could be room for one more guest! Or did I read that wrong?
  4. Dean, I will be wearing a ballgown so there will be two appropriately dressed people there!
  5. Lost has such a large cast, quite frankly I am surprised at how long it is taking to confirm guests.
  6. Good for you wearing a suit! After all it is a ball! Can't wait!
  7. OOOohhh, what a fantastic guest! Sharpens and polishes fangs!
  8. The fact that someone has been driven off the board says it all. No, it doesn't. That says nothing about us and everything about the person who left. The reason none of you can actually quote posts and comments we made that are mean and devilish and evil and nasty and cruel and bad and malicious is because we didn't make any. It's because the only personal attacks in this entire thread are from you and the others attacking us. My God, you sound like a scratched record - which I am now turning off.
  9. The fact that someone has been driven off the board says it all. What a pathetic reply.
  10. Eclipse has now lost its exclusiveness. I agree with those of you who are disappointment that these two guests are now attending a con one week before. And Psychosis and DavidB are like dogs with a bone, they just don't give up, and never seem willing to see the other side of the coin. It gets so darned tiresome. Just watch them have a go at me now!
  11. Just to add to my comment above, postal confirmation arrived today!
  12. I never received any sort of confirmation via email or post, so i called them yesterday and I am booked in - relief. They did say they would send confirmation in the post.
  13. What a fantastic video, you have made me even more excited to go! wooot!
  14. I've been lucky enough to have seen all of season 2, and what a fab season it is!
  15. Why am I not surprised, remember this post I made? http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index....showtopic=36366
  16. Hi - my real name is Kirima, and I am of Inuit origin, and was born in 1948. I've lived in the UK for a long time, so I guess I can call myself English. Been attending cons since the year dot. Look forward to seeing you all. Oh and I don't look my age, it's amazing what a bit of botox and bleach can do. Swan ... and you are?
  17. Yes I realise so I deleted my comment. But in retrospect I do think that wearing a bin liner, a paper bag on my head, and a couple of unsharpened pencils stuffed up my nose will probably be the perfect look for his occasion. *wibble*
  18. OK, things are getting a tad heated here... Please take a look below at a few definitions of cocktail attire, and you will see that ellullatook is correct: Cocktail Attire Cocktail Attire means short, elegant dresses for her and dark suits for him. from here Cocktail Attire - generally seen referring to social gatherings, and some fine dining. For men, cocktail attire means suit and tie, or coat and tie. Colors and fabrics may vary with the season or with the location of the event. (A cocktail party at a friend's place would be a little less dressy than one held in a nice hotel.) For women, cocktail attire is the cocktail-length dress. Hair and make-up should be appropriate to the time of day (typically early evening) and the color and fabric of the clothing will likely vary with the season and location of the event. from herel Cocktail Cocktail parties are all about shimmer, shine and seduction. This enables you to go a little wild with colours and textures. Unlike black tie dress, cocktail gowns are expected to be revealing. You can play around with shorter hemlines, plunging necklines or revealing back details. No colour is off limits and details like sequins or luxe fabrics like chiffon and silk are great cocktail looks. Remember to avoid looking overdone, your cocktail look must be balanced. Avoid overindulging in silk, satin and sparkle so that you always look chic, not shabby. from here
  19. Sister and I are wearing long evening dresses, and very high shoes! Wooot! Can't wait! And wait til you see us at the other party. heheh! You'll never recognise us.
  20. With the Hollywood writers strike going on at the moment, perhaps the writers will be free to come along
  21. Watch Heroes on a pokey 3" bad quality youtube site? No thank you. Not when I have a 28" widescreen televison. I look forward to seeing the new show.
