Us Mac users are the greatest, no? How on earth do you animate with Photoshop??

Hey you lot, I figured this is the best place to ask because I know a lot of you make your own avatars and stuff. Do you need a specific animation programme to make animated gifs for avatars etc? I've got: Photoshop CS and I even know how to use Flash and Director to make fairly decent animations but I don't know how to make them into gifs. I'm on mac so I can't get any Windows animators. Does anyone know if I can make animated gifs with Photoshop, Flash or Director? Or, Does anyone know if there's some free software available for Mac that I could animate gifs with? Sidey
