  1. I've never sent anything in so i can't comment there i'm afraid.
  2. I’m beginning to wonder if because of some shows that Lucas did earlier in the century that may be a reason Showmasters and other events are hesitant to bring Lucas back, given the whole boycott that happened a few years back
  3. This year has been good so far with a solid number of pick ups, now i'm just waiting to see if i can get a ticket for the march signing, which i doubt i will and that annoys me as i should have booked them earlier, especially as i need Manning and Levene on an item top Priority and i was hoping to have Peter Roy and Derek Martin on Lost in time as well, but now i just gotta hope and wait. I've got a Derek Martin but i don't have a Peter Roy sad to say, and i won't buy anything until i know that i cant get a ticket.
  4. also on a lighter note i picked up two signed items one is on Pre-Order which is Season 15 signed by Tom baker and John Leeson, and the other is a "Horror of Fang Rock" DVD cover signed by John Abbot and Ralph Watson, so a deceased actor with the former being my 200th signed item to enter my collection, which by all accounts i am super happy to have, and i think all i'm missing story wise with Ralph's name on it is a copy of "The Monster of Peledon" and a CD he did with Alex Kingston for The Diary of River song series 6, but thats splitting hairs... or in the case of Doctor who wigs and Toupees. what are everyone elses latest pick ups signed wise? were they at the recent event or elsewhere.
  5. Ah yes i remember Ashley i think he was number 3 on my Series 7 or maybe number 4 can't remember, but yeah they were gonna be a package duo for both Doctor who and that other show they did together which got cancelled during the accusations, if anything it was a good line up of who they got in a sense of Showmasters comboing actors well, 4 actors from Doctor who, 3 who appeared at the same time and the same era all regulars, the 4th a guest star and strategically he appears with one of the bigger names in another show to combo together, its just a shame Clarke is a peace of... TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. i think for that reason Showmasters wouldn't book him given that if an accusation came from a con that would be extremely bad to have such a guest, and whilst they could have a male attendee that would be in my opinion a bad way of addressing the issue IE circumventing it instead of confronting it, and would be seen as playing devils advocate.
  6. By all accounts they'd have to be insane, and the problem is can they really risk putting someone in harms way, because i do recall (If memory serves) that one of the accusations came from someone attending to him at an event, and there are a lot of people who would wish to meet him, and thats just at the event itself. but if somewhere was absolutely absurd to do it, their would be a mixture of backlash which i feel would be the majority of the response and you'd have the few who would be amazed that he's attending and be the most vocal when such a cancellation occurs, because an event like show-masters often says they intend to rebook a guest, and imagine explaining that a guest has been cancelled by the event itself, i don't recall seeing a post in 2021 when it all came out, but now they'd likely have to, they couldn't cancel him quietly because that would still leave people assuming he was still attending.
  7. The sanity of any event that would book someone so controversial is questionable at best. i understand that Clarke was a big part of the show for 5 years (even tho he did maybe a single series worth of episodes) but there is too much controversy around him for there to be positive reception towards him, and I’ve already stated that the fact the number went to double digits and sits around 20 says too much for me to think he’s innocent, it’s not a popular opinion but I’d rather be wrong in his guilt than his innocence, and of course I do think his behaviour was inappropriate. i so still see people requesting him for events all the time, but if he was booked I can see the backlash being so great that their would be no hope in hell of him actually attending, similar to a panel getting announced at another event but was met with overwhelming negativity causing its cancellation as it conflicted with one of the main objects of the event, and a significantly large part of the audience, but there was backlash to the cancellation as there always is, people saying that they were pandering to one crowd too much, that people were genuine excited to see the panel (one person claiming he’d bought the tickets for this one thing alone) and that they can’t just keep being “lefty liberals” about it, when most of the attendees of said event are just that
  8. I’m not blind to the idea that disgraced celebrity autographs are worth a pretty penny, but personally I could never, my Series 2 is basically complete beyond John Leeson in terms of main cast, and I have already had an argument with someone who insists it won’t be finished until I have Clarke on the set, when in reality I want him nowhere near my series 2 or any sets I own.
  9. Personally I do think Anneke will likely do a small event at some point in the future but not a LFCC or such but a smaller event where she knows people will be attending mostly for her, but time will tell, as for Marsh yeah that boat has sailed, if she ever did it would raise the old question in this form of Morality. and we do have a lot of moral questions as hunters, and whilst we’ve discussed it, personally if they did get Noel Clarke (to which I’d lead a boycott asking for his attendance cancellation) I wouldn’t get him on anything because I do believe that the lack of a conviction isn’t any proof of innocence, and would have me wondering about if any event would be so morally bankrupt to book such a guest.
  10. No no of course not, just when I text a thumbs up release the people who are being taken care off without their consent.
  11. I think given that I get paid rather handsomely (inspite of being less than so) I can afford to splash a decent chunk of change for a nice nearby hotel, as one hotel I did was quite bad in that the plugs didn’t work properly because of awful fitting, and thus I learned cheap cheap isn’t the way to go, and with a pay in 3 I’ll have it paid off before June which is my last pay check before July where I’m hoping May will be a good month for the money.
  12. posting this here for the main forum for Doctor who guests, as some are often obscure and odd connections, plus like minded discussion so join in if you want
  13. UPDATE: money came back booked a better hotel and cheaper, booked con tickets, preordered a Season 15 signed by Tom Baker and John Leeson, adjusted a few things and yeah all sorted.
  14. Well this day has gone to pot, the signing tickets are sold out, i've been charged (and refunded but thats gonna take 8 days) for a hotel that i didn't even wish to reserve, so i'm down £650
  15. Anywhere that gets him would be fantastic, I've three items i desperately want him on, which is the same for Fielding if only two over lapping items, and like you i'm desperate for him on my "The Light at the end" as he's one of two on that spread i dont have, and the more i complete said set the better. I've got a theory boiling somewhere this year may see Louise Jameson which i am hopping for greatly for a number of reasons. as it is i'm an hour off being paid then i'm gonna start sorting things out for July, including hotel, tickets and the first photo which Garrick Hagon is gonna be one of the random guests i'm choosing as i already have his signature on all but a Season 9 boxset, that said assuming they announce a few certain Comic guests IE Jeff Cummins and Jessica Martin i have devised a cunning plan to be able to have photos with them both
  16. Whilst we have other events for smaller guests it is also nice for LFCC to get some who maybe might not be available for the smaller events or possibly their agent wouldn't allow such an appearance to take place at what can be considered a small event, as i know the actors and what not would do it, but the agents wouldn't let them as they can't charge big money. as for Ward and Strikson i'm hoping that they get announced one day, especially Strikson as i like many other fans have been robed of an appearance for reasons that have yet to be named, so i'm hoping he is rebooked somewhere this year that i can get him, as for Ward it would be nice to finally meet her, i have one of the her signatures on "Neverland" but this was one i just happened to find on Ebay when i was after said CD, it was like £5 more than most copies and i thought at that price i might as well, but i would want her on a DVD probably either "Destiny of the Daleks", "City of Death" or "Warriors Gate" and for Blu Ray "Shada" Steelbook as that would be one of the two big additions that i could possibly land for that set, especially as i do have Leeson on it.
  17. So we have a small obscure guest even, in this case we have Andy Lanning who was one of the writers of "Follow that TARDIS!" a comic from Doctor Who Magazine issue number 147 released around the time of Season 25, and like i said extremely obscure, but i've looked it up and the issue isn't that expensive so i'm tempted to get it for this event to have it signed. he like many comic guests is attending the entire weekend.
  18. Tennant would be a great land for me as i could easily have him on my Series 4 or my "The Day of the Doctor" so he'd be paired with the slowly growing cast of Series 4 and have the "Ultimate" (I use quotation marks because i'm not a "Fan" who believes the show is only Tennant and Smith) and have him with Matt Smith on that set. but really i'm after some more small time guests at this point i've already named everyone from "Temple of Doom" and "The Last Crusade" who've done doctor who and could therefore be perfect guests to get on two Indiana Jones anniversary's, or even a companion i've not met from the classic days (Which at this point is just Lala Ward, Mark Strikson and Nicolya Bryant from those who are doing events, otherwise i'd list Annekke Wills and Jean Marsh) or maybe some who've done the odd story here and there.
  19. Okay i'm home so i can say more. this is a big guest for the event which is undeniable and will more than likely be the big headliner for the event and after however many cons of having Big Doctor who guests as the headliners it makes sense to have someone else, and personally i hope this shuts up people who constantly complain about them "Always" getting Doctor who guests even tho the rule of thumb is basically every UK actor has done something Doctor who, but the begging for Joseph Quinn and Jenna Ortega crowd wont stop until both are announced and complained that they couldn't meet them due to high demand, can't win. now as a Doctor who fan personally was hoping for someone from that neck of the woods, and really maybe have some smaller ones to go with a bigger announcement to pad the numbers a little, IE would have been nice to see a few names crop up here and there, and i've seen Catherine Tate get announced elsewhere and a few i'm after at an event in Birmingham, but these are financially impossible for me to get to given all the current plans. i admit we have 4 months until July so i'm hoping for some more Who guests but a single big announcement is probably gonna annoy just as many people as it would satisfy
  20. It’s a hell of a guest im just hoping that it shuts up the crowd a little who complain about no one big.
  21. Just realised guys that I’m at work from 6PM tonight so if it is a who guest it’ll be added to hear at around 10PM at the latest.
  22. Actually maybe In way of a big guest is it possible we may finally get to see a rebooking of John Simm after Collector-mania got cancelled last year as they rebooked a few of the guests for Winter but maybe they want Simm as the headliner for the July event. if so that would be great as then I could have both Jacobi and Simm on my Series 3 boxset, and I would hands down pay for that Diamond Pass.
  23. Also their is a great joke in here that I’m sad no one has seen.
  24. As for faces I want invited back Frazer Hines is topping my list as I would want him on more stuff, examples like “The Ice Warriors”, “The War Games” and “The Two Doctors”. Anita Dobson was super Friendly and by all accounts I could do with getting her on my “Blood of the Daleks” Part 1. Janet Fielding I’ve already mentioned and thus I shan’t beat John Wiles… I mean the dead horse. Peter Purves and Maureen O’Brien are a double act I want back for most of the same items but Purves in particular to get on my CD of “The Celestial Toymaker” so I can have him with Jackie Lane and then I’ll have him Combo’d with basically every TV companion I can sans William Russell, Maureen I want on “The Romans” for that reason as I have Russell on that cover.
  25. Judging by the big hype my guess is it has to be someone big from the new series so: Christopher Eccleston John Barrowman David Tennant Freema Agyeman Catherine Tate David Morrisey Matt Smith Karen Gillian Arthur Darvil Alex Kingston Jenna Coleman Peter Capaldi Pearl Mackie Matt Lucas David Bradley Jodie Whitaker Mandip Gil Tosin Cole Bradley Walsh John Bishop and yes that’s a list and a half not even counting spin offs. Plus a load of them cover a bunch of series not just Doctor who, David Bradley for example, would cover Harry Potter (ew) and Game of Thrones as well, Bradley Walsh for just being him, David Morrisey would be a big draw for the walking dead crowd which is still popular apparently.
