  1. On a more positive note I did just have a luck of a score, found an undedicated cover of “Planet of Evil” signed by Prentis Hancock so at least I have him on something, even if it’s my least favourite of the 4 stories he did, ironically it was the first of the 4 but I was never keen on the story even when I watched a UK TV gold repeat. my friend who like myself is a fan of Anderson works will probably be jealous as he is a massive fan of Space: 1999, I wonder if he’ll ask if I’m over the moon, or is that too far a distance for Hancock
  2. I’ve packed everything I need sans some of the new series boxsets and the Dalek collection which will have to go in my ruck sack and be taken day to Day as my folder and the regeneration boxset have consumed the entire bag I carry. ive tried no crossing anyone off entirely, but I DID have to remove some of the extra stuff I wanted to add as soon as more guests got announced I am still tempted to pack the Peladon cover on the off chance I can afford the extra £30, but by that point I’d probably want an extra £20 for it and go for Barrowman on the regen set.
  3. Given my list hasn’t got Julien Glover on it because simply I cannot afford to add him, let alone will have the shoulder strength to carry the Season 17 boxset because he wouldn’t go on the booklet NO SIR not with his name being so prestigious. i think because of Pay in 3s I have been able to pay off what I need and this has been a thing since February, but at the same time I’ll be paying this off months afterwards nearly owed £500 to Paypal at one point so this is gonna be one sting to the bank account of an event.
  4. Okay just checked and LFCC last year had 9 photos with no diamond passes I had paid for 3 more but 1 was ill, 1 had a time mess up where some staff said one time and it was another a similar issue but they didn’t refund me on that one, but the 9 I did get was a duo I got with two people (Peter Purves and Maureen O’Brien), so I guess this LFCC assuming nothing goes wrong it’ll be 9 photos with 11 as the Lux Trio only go as a Trio. also their aren’t any Duos im keen on or able to afford, IE I think Sethu and Dobson are offering a duo but I’m not the most fussed let alone can afford it it’s just not a Duo that interests me, their usually has to be a reason companions from the same era, doctor and companion etc etc
  5. I don't know the most photo-shoots I've ever had in a weekend, but i'd roughly say one fantom event where i had around 7 of the guests and then a group photo as well. but this event i've got around 9 booked, maybe 10 if i decide to spare the funds for the tenth i want, but that said i'd probably just funnel it into more autographs truth be told especially as i am currently cutting corners, not what i'm the biggest fan of.
  6. Thats true, he would be one hell of a land for me, as i'd put him on Lost in Time, "The Wheel in Space" CD, "The Sea Devils" and Series 9, the latter mainly to cover all my bases
  7. So I’m listening to “the wheel in space” to pass the time at work and Donald Sumpter would be a hell of a guest with his career and I’d put down for 4 nice and easy
  8. It’s not set in stone yet that I can attend, I’ll only have July and Augusts hours to work from but I will be focusing on this show and LFCC later in the year as I want to prioritise those events above anything else, so MK would have to be done on the cheap
  9. I think this is shaping up to be my most expensive event yet and I only have 3 diamond passes, I think that’s the most I’ve ever had for any event, the prices have varied significantly over the years so the value has never lined up, my first time doing passes was 2022 with Tennant, Smith and Whitaker, then the next trio of passes was last year with Gatwa, Gibson and Sheen, now it’s Sethu, Barrowman and Blessed, but last year I think I spent more on passes because of just how bloody expensive Gatwa was, bare in mind he was £300 so that was more than Barrowman and Sethu combined. As for November so far no diamond passes guests which is interesting as I expected Jacobi to be Diamond Pass like last time but I guess that helps in that I won’t have to shell out and end up with a duplicate photo, but does also mean his queue could be hell, especially as I want him on two items, I doubt they’re gonna go as overboard as they have for this event, as July is expected to use most of the building whilst November isn’t expected to use beyond one hall.
  10. I’ve not seen the reverse, but still reigns annoying we’ve got to wait until after this event which has 8 names which could all go on said item and we’re gonna miss the chance completely. id love for the lux trio to return in November maybe if enough people state this they may wish to return, I mean I pulsated Cartmel and Martin to appear at November last year (you’re welcome) so I’m sure it’s possible
  11. Well all I can say is sweet Jesus I’m £5 shy of needing a grand for this one lads, I’ve taken off a couple of things I’m willing to Lose, and I may have to dig even deeper to cut corners, if anything the next ones to go are the Lux Trio I’ve got the photo booked and I may have to be satisfied with that. I don’t want to have to, but it comes down to what I have available, me mum has implied that she and my father may give me some money in conjunction with the money I want to take out of my savings (yes I am 26 and live with my folks, the housing market is terrible) so I may be able to sustain things further assuming that they don’t now announce a massive guest or one I go “ah it’s yaself” and find myself having to put down more than a few notes for. all I can say is “the curse of Peladon” isn’t going to be signed this event, and John Barrowman is unlikely to grace my Regen boxset on this occasion, unless their is a blow out by someone to the tune of some £50 IE someone I don’t want to blow out because I get anxious about the remaining longevity of the actor, even if it would open up £80 in the budget. I am tempted to do MK in September simply because they have Arthur Bostrum, and of course Allo Allo but he did Scaredy Cat with Paul McGann, for some reason I have two covers for that one, absolutely no idea why the seller had a second but here I am
  12. Returning once again we have the ever so lovely Jessica Martin best known to Doctor who Fans as Mags in the 1988 story "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" with lead actor, writer and script editor also in attendance for the event, however she does have other roles an appearances, eventually becoming a companion of the seventh Doctor. for Jessica you'll need: "The Greatest show in the Galaxy" "Voyage of the Dammed" The Complete Fourth Series "Signs and Wonders" "The Monsters of Gokroth" "The Moons of Vulpana" "An Alien Werewolf in London" "The Last of the Colophon" The Collection Season 25 The Ten Christmas Specials Jessica is attending both days of the event and is £15 for an autograph, again she is such a lovely lady to speak to.
  13. returning for July we have Tony Lee who has written a number of Audios for the big finish range of audio, he is also running the notably large comic zone. for Lee you'll need: "Rat Trap" "Private Enemy No.1" "Vesuvius Falling" Tony is attending both days and is a free signer, and a very lovely man
  14. To the showmasters employee reading this forum and stealing the information i uncover, please listen to most of the names we suggest around here, Paul Cornell will be a good one for us all please
  15. We seem to be losing a lot of names in recent times, I was heart broken when we lost Mary Peach who had one of the best lines in the series, now we have lost quite a few this year
  16. I would like to see him, as I am in desperate need of him as he wrote one of the absolute best stories especially in a period where people insist the show was bad (I mean “Time and the Rani” really carries that burden but once you’re past that it’s not too bad) and “Battlefield” is definitely a story that needs some names as I only have McCoy, Alfred, Courtney and Cartmel. Of course he’d get 5 signatures worth of what he’d charge from me, as all 4 DVDs of “Remembrance of the Daleks” and then “Battlefield” as well
  17. Well they finally announced the TARDIS prop shoot, had I waited 40 hours on booking Katy Manning I could have gotten her with that, always something I guess
  18. Its also my solem duty to report yesterday the passing of Pik-Sen Lim was announced, Lim was of course in "The Mind of Evil" as Captain Chin Lee and also worked as a Linguistics coach on the same Production, she famously menaced the Doctor as a Giant pink dragon, and in "Johnny English: Reborn" she famously attacked another Doctor with a hoover. Despite later works such as "Mind your Language" where she was reduced to what i can only describe as a cheap racial stereotype her work on Doctor who was anything but with a positive portrayal of a Chinese woman especially in the early 1970s. its an exceptional shame for me primarily as i have only just recently began work on getting this cover signed as a project, i guess i tempted fate by choosing it as a sign project this year, and more so as i appreciate a positive portrayal of a minority. Edit: just found out she's also done Big Finish even returning to the role of Chin Lee, god bless Big finish and using every character.
  19. I'll happily buy a print of some of his work to get him on all the covers i need done, he's one hell of strike for 1960's content even if he isn't actually someone who worked on 1960's Doctor who.
  20. I hope we get some more Jessica Martin will be sorely missed if she doesn't attend, but i would like her as a media guest so i can get a photo but i would of course like some fresh faces as well, names are a little loose but Ben Aaronovitch would be a fantastic land for like 5 signatures at least, again Paul Cornell needs to attend so i can nab him on Season 7 and a few DVDs/CDs i need him on as "The Day of the Daleks" to join, Katy, John and Terrance, and i could even get him on "The War Games" Steelbook but i'm taking 3 steelbooks already and i don't have enough protectors for steelbooks, maybe i should invest in more in the future.
  21. Oh and a copy of the good soldier because theirs like 4 people who worked on that attending, GET ME PAUL CORNELL
  22. Also finally ordered the last of the CD sets I need for LFCC in the form of the 4th Doctor Adventures boxest “Angels and Demons” for the story “The friendly invasion” to get signed by Chase Brown, getting ahold of that set was a nightmare. also ordered a replacement 10th Doctor Sonic as mine gave up years ago sadly, turns out I wasn’t the only one saddened by its death, tempted to give it a Viking funeral, and lastly because I had all but the coat I’ve ordered Captain Jack Harkness coat so I can cosplay that for a very Doctor who heavy event
  23. Irvine would be one hell of a land for any event given the ground he covers and as he would go on Series 2 I’m down for it let alone all the classics he could possibly go on
  24. He’s going on both for me, I am considering taking the booklets from 24 and 25 on the grounds that if he’s cheap or free I may go for a full on swoop
