  1. Well the likes of Bonnie Langford, Wendy Padbury and John Leeson have moved up the list of who i need again, as i've picked up the Davros Collection and now and need them on said set, although i need to look over the set and work out how much signing space i'll have for everyone and if i need to prioritise certain names over others, IE Regulars and such.

and before anyone says Padbury isn't in a Davros Story, she plays a new character in "Davros" which is apart of said set, i doubt i'll ever use said Big Finish disc because i like having the individual copies and the only new one "Terra Firma" i can't even listen to because i haven't listened to Entries 61-64 of the main range, let alone own them, which comes down to the 8th Doctor stories of that era being more directly linked than other Doctors, made that mistake with one of my first two stories being "Zagreaus".

also also Showmasters Get Alistair lock again he did Dalek Voices for Big finish, just saying would be amazing.

Quite the find, and quite the upgrade, especially being undedicated, at least worst case scenario he doesnt appear again, you have Tim on other sets

If we are talking about Reg Whitehead, I have him on one poster but not on another, he passed away before I could add him on the the one I get signed in person (apart from Melville Jones),

I got a really good deal, from an events company who offered a multi signed poster at a price that was hard to resist, especially as It had Reg along with 4 or 5 other actors I didn't have. Randomly they managed to get Paul Kennington to sign it twice. Hence having two cybermen posters running at same time

I am hoping Gregg Palmer, is ok and well enough to make an event this year, as he cancelled a couple towards the end of last year

I'm hoping Gregg Palmer is well enough and gets announced again, as he pulled out of an event last year

It is in fact a notable upgrade if I do say so myself, given I have the Amazon Cyberman set, it is overall one of my most signed sets if looked at as a boxset, the old cover I’m holding onto regardless of if I can get all the old names on the new cover or not, because I’ve had said set in my Libary for so many years now and it has been signed since 2020 and given Frazer was the first one to sign I feel I owe it to me and him to keep it, probably frame it or something.

and it’s good you’ve got Reg Whitehead as well, I wasn’t on an attempt to make you jealous I just didn’t want you to be annoyed if I got a 1960s Cyberman you didn’t, and even now if I include Kilgarriff and Levene I only have 4 of them myself, outside of that I have another 4 Cybermen but ones not on a Cyberman set as money was tight and I wanted Melville Jones on “the time monster” for that combo that was growing.

i have a Cyber voice actor in the form of Peter Haliday I can say that at least

  3. Again in update news i've booked my photos with Peter Purves, Maureen O'Brien (Both single and duo) and Garrick Hagon, with Matthew Needham coming next month in terms of Photo booking, so thats a total of 4 out of the 5 current photos booked.

and I checked the random announcement earlier of Ralph Brown and nada, he was in Alien 3 with Paul MgGann along with Danny Webb and Christopher Fairbank, but no Doctor who Credits for him.

Also as much as i hate Alien 3 i do like Brown's character in the film, and would say he's one of the better parts of it.

i feel they have been booked but where were people questioning it?

I think because of the constant con rescheduling that was 2021 when a load of people didn't actually show up with no notice it left a sour taste in everyone's mouth about if Showmasters even books said guests properly with a legal agreement to attend, meaning that pulling out for any reason other than Illness or family emergency would be seen as a blacklist on their future con appearances even a reschedule to a later event can spell disaster for any planned duos or trios, not to mention people who cant attend the later events.

Even as late as last year with Tony Todd not attending despite being promised twice and with a pullout so late he was still on the advertising at Olympia Station you can see why people have grown sceptical over the years of many events about the legitimacy of announcements, Todd wasn't one on my lists, but i have a few Horror Friends who were loving the thought of meeting him, only for two cancellations in the same year.

now for Ernie Hudson he had been promised for years but work commitments have often negated this, but it only adds fuel to the fire that is the scepticism that is any booking of higher priced guests.

of course we do have examples of guests just not turning up like the Sons of Anarchy guest we've not mentioned who all but buggered off because he wasn't earning enough money (in his eyes) at LFCC 2022 and thus just left on the Saturday and never returned despite being contracted, which i'm assuming has made him very unpopular with a lot of people.

  5. Well lads i have hit a gold mine, or should i say Tomb of silver giants.

i had a scroll through ebay and have replaced my cover of "The Tomb of the Cybermen" so now instead of Frazer Hines, Michael Killgarriff and Tim Combe i now have the following:

    ·      Frazer Hines – Jamie McCrimmon

    ·      Deborah Watling – Victoria Waterfield

    ·      Clive Merrison – Jim Callum

    ·      Bernard Holley - Hayden

    ·      Reg Whitehead – Cyberman

    ·      Roger Bunce – Camera Opperator

with plans to add the Cyber-controller (Again) later this month, meaning that i'm infact risking a loss of Timothy Combe on the set assuming he never appears anywhere again, but he was only on a bonus feature for "The Final End" as the director of said sequences, so my anxiety is mostly soothed at least in part as i have 3 other sets him his name attached.

and the best part is none of these are dedicated, sorry @Mfahey79 i've got a 1960's cybermen i'm unsure you have.

Yeah, I have noticed that as well, certain people are even questioning if the guest has even been booked in one or two cases. Which is crazy.

I'm not being sceptical, I'm just hoping nothing comes up that means he cany make it.

It’s always the same, we get booked a guest everyone has been asking for

then everyone says they’re not gonna show up.

if anything I think for the most part After the 2021 mess I think that Showmasters has clawed back a lot of good faith, well until the Tony Todd incident but two sides to every story.

and I’m still trying to get the definitive answer on what happened with Karen Gillan during winter 23, but I’m not sure that’s on Showmasters as opposed to a schedule change.

I need him to complete both Robin of Sherwood cast posters, so I'm over the moon with this announcement. I just need to risk the virtuals for a 2nd autograph or hope for a quiet queue when I get my autograph as I would want a 2nd autograph, and I'm not paying for two diamond passes

If you go through most guest suggestion posts over the last few years, it was almost tradition where I asked for him to appear and lo and behold, here he is. Fingers crossed we dont get the dreaded C word neared the time.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying the C word around on some guest posts, the same people who are asking for some big guests, and then get skeptic when said guests are announced.

rn I still want some more Doctor who guests, mainly on the smaller side so i can get the more obscure ones done, as for big ones I won’t say no but my preference is now padding out sets for Combos.

also on a strange note I checked my payslip for when I’m paid on Monday and turns out I was getting paid more per hour on holiday than I was for actually working, explain that huh

Always a good mix from all the Star Wars films as well, and we do get a decent overlap, usually, where theyve done both Doctor Who and Star Wars.

Exactly my point it’s usually the best times at LFCC for some smaller grade actors beyond those who did Hellraiser or Hellraiser 2, plus if they get someone who did a lot of small parts here and there we’re spoiled for choice.

just a shame Pat Gormans dead as it would cost a bloody fortune for his name on everything, and he has the 8th most episodes I think, take of that what you will.

actually reminds me of when a signing had both Brian Hodgson and Dick Mills and we calculated that even if you took in a staggering £1750 to get their names on things that would only net you one name per DVD not including sets where they were both involved, and bare in mind it was just those two doing sound effects.

Indeed, or at the very least if the big guest isnt one we'd be getting, we get several smaller guests that are.

I think I'd rather several smaller guests over one big guest at the moment

Given the financials will be spread more thin than half my coworkers hairlines (seriously theirs self denial and then theirs whatever one of my bosses has) I think a large group of smaller ones, or one I can get a diamond pass for would be best.

but smaller wise I have my usual suspects of people I’d like with of course Janet Fielding being high up on that list especially as the line up of the classic who list is reflecting June in 2022 almost exactly.

and with a Star Wars zone on the horizon we are looking at a shot or two at being able to get some smaller ones of the extra variety from that time period, Ala Les Conrad (RIP), Paul Kirby, Mike Stevens ETC, the two latter obviously still around to my knowledge and would be good signers, although should Kirby be announced I’m going to need a CD of “The Space Pirates” as that’s all he did and there is no DVD of the story thus far.

Hopefully they are ok, and can be re-scheduled to one of their other events, or that Showmasters pick them up for the summer

It would be good if they did, he would see a lot of attention there as he’s one of few to do classic series and new series as a regular

  11. Just now, LSmith said:

    very happy with this one

I am as well because him and Maureen O’Brien are a duo that I’m after for a few items obviously, specifically that I want them on “Light at the end” and “The Aztecs” Special Edition for a great combo.

plus I’m hopeful for more companions of the classic era, just to get more combos and completions.

  12. 16 hours ago, Mfahey79 said:

Which means that he also didnt sign my Remembrance DVD that I sent it. Damn

Yeah I think you’re out of luck on that one there, I’m hoping somewhere books Leeson this year So I can add him to some more Sets IE Series 2, K9 and Company & Season 15

  13. 3 hours ago, Mfahey79 said:

I hear Derek Martin was ill over the weekend as well, so hopefully both recover soon

Yeah that I saw as well, which is a shame as I wanted him on a couple of items as “Ambassadors of death” needs everyone I can get given that to my knowledge the only ones alive are John Levene and a bunch of Extras (Aside from Margot Hayhoe)

  14. so i received an email update, i'm getting a partial refund on an order because of Leesons ill health, he was unable to sign my copy of Season 15 so thats going to be without his name for the foreseeable future, which is a bummer as i had hoped to have him and Tom on a set together as the only other set i have Tom on is the very brief line up of Him, Matthew Waterhouse and Sarah Sutton, so having John on another set would have put me a step closer to another line up.

again show-masters Janet Fielding is highly requested by at least 3 people, so please bring her back, there would be a very easy £60-£80 for you

Bet you are happy with this announcement. Finally after months of gentle hints, they sneak his announcement in with the comic guests.

I'll be getting him on a poster, like Maureen, and the double shoot is a must

And yes i am excited and Thrilled for him to be excited because now i can get those two on "The Light at the End" together correcting 2/3 of my mistake in 2022 of not doing so (Showmasters get Janet Fielding back, you've already got Sophie Aldred) and then i can fix that mistake and have a set completed

The Double Shoot is by all accounts a great option to have and it just makes me wish more and more Jackie Lane was still alive cause then a Duo would be offered there, or even if Jean Marsh was still doing events another Great duo option there of course.

  17. and on a more important note we have this man who presented Blue Peter (Which is odd because i never met peter):

    Web-Peter-Purves.jpg

Peter Purves played the 1st Doctor companion (And good friend of William Hartnell) Steven Taylor from "The Chase" to "The Savages", meaning his line up of Content is more dotted than if this post was written in brail so i'll do my best to list them Below.

Purves for his TV work can be on "Lost in Time", "The Aztecs" (Special Edition), "The Chase", "The Time Meddler", "Galaxy 4", "The Ark" and "The Gunfighters" for DVD with "Galaxy 4" also Available for Blu Ray and Steelbook, whilst "Galaxy 4", "The Myth Makers", "The Daleks Masterplan", "The Massacre", "The Celestial Toymaker" & "The Savages" available on CD, and of course because of more recent developments you can also get him on your Season 2 boxsets.

I of course have already made it extremely clear what i'm getting him on being "The Aztecs" (Special Edition), the CDs of "The Massacre" and "The Celestial Toymaker" and finally of course on "The Light at the End".

he is attending on the sunday and unlike Maureen O'Brien he is only £15 for a Autograph or photo and is offering a duel option with Maureen for £40

  18. We've had some announcements

    Mike-Collins-Base-Image-Summer-2024.jpg

Whilst working mainly as a comic artist for numerous comics that i can't at this time be bothered to list out we have Mike Collins who worked as a storyboard artists from series 9 to 11 and worked on the majority of Class, meaning for his signature you'll need Series 9, 10, "Twice upon a time", 11 & Class.
