I travel up on Thursday the 26th, so that would mean 49 days for me, I think?

Ok, cool, thanks for that! So I could get 5 for my friends the first time I go up on Friday, then I could go up for more on that day if I wanted to buy even more. And of course can buy extra on Saturday. I actually do have quite a few more than 5 friends who are fellow Tom fans, but sadly I don't think I will have the money to buy them all one. I have to have a spending limit of somewhat, sadly
Plus, they live all around the world, and I need to also then pay for sending the autos to them. I'm generous, but unfortunately, can't afford to be TOO generous!

Yes, you guys are correct.
I intend to use the Friday to buy autos for my friends. I know I will need VQ for that. Then I will have the DP auto for myself on the Saturday, (I know that is only one) and possibly buy one extra for myself then with the VQ.

@Coles84 Yeah, Tom has been attending a lot of cons lately. All around the US, then Australia and now UK! He's getting a real taste for them now and that is awesome for us fans!

Sadly, no, I can't stretch another night's hotel fees for staying on Sunday. I plan to go home then. But I guess there's no harm in getting a Sunday entry ticket, get even more autos and photos and then not travel home till later in the evening.
I'll see how it goes. Train times and all that. For now I'm content with just Friday and Saturday.

I totally read up on the VQ thing, so don't worry.
And I'll re-read it over and over so it's ingrained in my mind and I know exactly what to do. VQ for Friday, Diamond Saturday.

Oh I will definitely make the most of it.
'Cause who knows when he will next make it to the UK?! I've waited this long....Funny though, I've actually got a holiday booked to Vancouver later this year. Gonna visit the building where they filmed for the outside of Daily Planet! (Don't have time to visit other Smallville locations though, got too many other plans to fit it all in).

Ok, that seems fair. 5 Autos is enough. I want to be able to get some for a couple of special friends of mine who are massive Tom Welling fans and have yet to have the opportunity to meet him themselves. So I will be doing that on the Friday. Then I will get mine on the Saturday.
Yes, I always like to have a back up plan in place. Which is why I decided to attend on the Friday as well as the Saturday. Completely understand the non refund policy on the entry tickets with a guest cancelling. They're not expensive. Good to know they will refund the Diamond Pass in the unlikely event of him cancelling. I've booked my hotel at the Premier Inn and chose the flex rate, and chose to pay on the day of my arrival, which is another good thing, so that if it does happen I won't have lost a large amount of money there either.
I know I have more questions burning, but I can't think of them right now.

Meeting Tom has been my dream for so long. He is one of my favourite actors and such an amazing person. Smallville is one of my favourite shows of all time. He was perfect as Clark Kent. I need to do a re-watch sometime soon. And he was fantastic as Marcus Pierce/Cain on S3 of Lucifer. 
Though I will admit to not liking Marcus getting in the way of Lucifer & Chloe.

well hello Nate. I am familiar with the Joey line, I watch Friends all the time. -
So I have read all the advice and info in this thread, though I may need to read through again as it is a lot to remember.
My first ever Comic Con. And I'm going on my own, so I am just a little nervous! I am a stickler for being super organised for these things so I want to be fully prepared for every eventuality.
I have got a good general idea of how the Diamond Pass works. How to collect the autos and how the photo ops work. So I am going on the Friday first, then my Tom Welling Diamond Pass stuff is for the Saturday. I have bought entry tickets for both days. Will I be able to collect my Diamond Pass on the Friday? I intend to go for extra autos on the Friday, is there a limit on how many I can buy with any guest? I might also purchase an extra photo op for the Friday. Currently, I am only there to meet Tom, but it would be cool to meet some other guests too. Since I am there.
That is my two questions for now.

Well, I'm still skeptical of it. The lady who ran it should have thought it through better, just the way it was handled was a total shambles and didn't think of the consequences to the fans who bought tickets, let alone paid for hotel and travel fees. She had no idea what she was doing.
Anyways, I promise I won't discuss it further. I have reworded my initial post a little.
I have already read most of the newbie pages with all the advice on autos and such. So I've got a general idea. ☺ but I do have other questions. Thank you for informing me though! And thank you for your welcome. I know I will enjoy LFFC so much!

I was actually pretty late getting into the show. I didn't discover Smallville until 2008, and that was just before I was about to start University. So I guess it helped me in my Uni days for sure. It seems like forever ago and feels like I have been there since the beginning, but I actually hadn't. I started from S1 though. I was on Kryptonsite too!
