I've said in the past that outside of the smaller £10/15 guests it might pay to start ALL guests on VQ's as it's easier to have given them out and not need them, than not give them out and need them, and no one knows.  I'm sure there are many good reasons for and against each system though.

Exactly  what me and my husband have said.   Easier to take off vq than put on vq once irs went crazy

Sunday is a bit quieter but is still very busy, personally I might not leave it that late as if you have any delays you don't have much leeway though if its a shoot with a pm session you can go to that.  As people are arriving in a staggered fashion today there were still people queuing to go in at 11.30ish today and it looks like it took a out 30/40 mins to get to the front.  It might be different tomorrow and quicker and you have to be in in time for the end of the session rather than the start as you might not be called first if you have a higher batch number, but if you can get a slightly earlier train I'd consider it.

Wow really?      Why like this?    We always go early fri and sat but sunday we usually go for our first shoot which isnt until after 10.30 and we havent hsd any trouble just walkong in at 10am before as queue usually all in well before then.... why different this year?   I dont want to do same as usual tomorrow and risk missjng shoot as no pm session

It's not always easy to estimate how busy a guest will be. Shatner has been very busy in the past. It would be silly to keep him on VQ if there's not really a demand for it.

Obviously there was/is a demand as he had a large queue.... got tkld he was signing quickly thats reason off vq but we stood for absllutely ahes in queue and didnt move!!!

  9. Well we ventured out of hotel room to bar only planning a quick drink and back.  Ended up meeting a lovely lady staying here also who is going to LFCC. Spent ages swapping stories of people ee've met or are meeting.  One of the things i love about cons.   Brings lots of us together as we all feel the same.

Thanks very much for your replies so far! Another quick question, I suffer from tinnitus just wanted to know how loud the venue is? Any music from speakers / live music or anything to be concerned about?

It can get loud.  Unavoidzble with the amiunt of people.  St photo areas there can be shouts as batches etc called.  Also near talk area there is mic/speaker used for the seated talk area.
