It'll be interesting to see how much Simm is in the series.  Seen a headline (didn't read into it, trying to avoid as many spoilers as I can! lol) that he might be in it longer than we think, so he could be in it from the get go and have an arc across the series, or he could be saved for the as-of-yet untitled last 2 episodes.

I hope Simm has a relatively large role, so he isn't pointlessly added for fan service. Also, the last two episodes do have titles (spoiler warning maybe). They are called "World enough and Time" and "The Doctor Falls."

  2. Hi all. As of today, Doctor Who Series 10 is 2 days away.  So what is everyone looking forward to with this series? I am excited because it is Capaldi's last series, there may be the first multi-master story, and there is such a good line-up of monsters.

I've been working my way through the classic series and only have a few of Sylvester McCoys left to watch - I've really enjoyed them my favourites include The Gunfighters, The Aztecs, The war Games, Black Orchid and Spearhead from Space

from the new series Blink, school reunion and the girl in the fireplace are my favourites and the entirety of series 6 is my least favourite- I just didn't enjoy it to the point I nearly didn't watch series 7.

Honestly I think I'm the only person who doesn't like The Aztecs. I find it so dull and boring. However I agree with all your other favourites.

Personally I enjoyed some episodes of series 6, mainly The God Complex and A Good Man Goes To War. But the rest of the series ranged from meh (e.g. Night Terrors) to c**p like Lets Kill Hitler and The Wedding of River Song.

My least favourite companion was Donna Noble, to be honest.  I saw a couple of episodes when Amy Pond was the Doctor's companion, and I didn't mind her, she was pretty good!  I saw a couple of episodes when Clara Oswald was his companion, too, she was pretty good!

I thought Donna was great. Not keen on Amy and Clara though.

I don't wholly dislike her myself, buuuuut, what the hell did they do to her teeth in her return in The Stolen Earth!? She didn't need them enlarged!

I havent seen that episode in ages, so I might need to rewatch it to see what you mean.

Rose is my favourite of the Doctor's companions, so when Billie Piper left the show, I didn't watch it for much longer.  I watched it for a bit longer since I thought David Tennant made a good Doctor, but when he left the show, I stopped watching it completely.  I thought Christopher Eccleston made a good Doctor, too, though!

Rose is one of my least favourite companions, and I was happy when she went. She was too irritating and smug. David and Christopher are both very good Doctors, but no where near my favourites.

Just imagine the addition of these 5 actors at the same con...how magical it would be! :)

    • Michael J. Fox ("The Secret of My Success" 30th Anniversary)
    • Helen Slater  ("The Secret of My Success" 30th Anniversary)
    • Tom Baker
    • Liz White

..and since LFCC is weekend, how cool it would be to add some "Weekend At Bernie's" note with at least the one and only

    • Catherine Mary Stewart (Weekend At Bernie's, The Last Starfighter, Night of The Comet, etc)

Fingers crossed and thank you in advance Showmasters for any possibility of invite and of the above names for LFCC!

    Yes for ANY of them!!!

I haven't watched Doctor Who in ages, so as for my favourite episode and least favourite episode, I can only go by the episodes I have seen.

    Favourite: Rose.

    Least Favourite: Doomsday.

I agree that Doomsday is certainly a bad episode, and the Daleks vs Cybermen plot was completely wasted. The ending was also way to cliched and OTT for my taste.
