3 months today is also the last day of the US con. (At which point I'll be really eagerly counting down the 5 months to Birmingham.)

Chronicles is bloody heavy though if you'll pardon my french. Lucky my husband's decided to tag along again. He's good at carrying the heavy stuff.

I might start on my Chronicles. It'd save my juggling yet another poster (currently at 3.)

Yeah, the one poster I've seen isn't one I really like. I don't like the estranged John and Sherlock aesthetic.

Now I need to start looking for a series 4 poster for signatures.

Oh my good grief, I hadn't even thought of that till now, and now I can't picture anything else... What would you pay for a seat in the client's chair between them, or standing by the 221B fireplace together... *goes off with the Sherlock fairies* Glad it wasn't just me then. And I would pay lots. It's only money, what else do we really need it for? Food, gas, shelter... Yeah, all sorts of things I can get anytime. Photo ops win. Definitely

The husband is pretty sure I'd be spending the equivalent of a monthly mortgage payment on photo ops and autographs if Martin is a guest. And as to the idea of a Martin/Benedict on the 221B set photo op... Yeah, maybe I should budget 2 months mortgage payments for the con.

Well the husband decided he had such a good time at the last one, he's decided to come with me again in October. Second Platinum pass has been purchased.

Plat does say "1 standard individual photo shoot with each guest in attendance" There is nothing that says anyone is excluded. They didn't even do anything about declaring 'lead guests' as they have previously.

I had no idea about this having happened to Benedict. Wow. Just to clarify jhw,it's not happening to Benedict as he's not on an social media but it seems to be aimed at Sue, Mark and Arwel as they are. I meant the carjacking thing for Benedict. I follow very selected Sherlock-related people on Twitter, almost exclusively those who are part of the production, so I don't often see things I'd rather not, and I'm not involved in any of the fandom stuff. I much prefer it this way. On the matter of Benedict in the boot/trunk of the car: I was a bit surprised to see it and gave him extra kudos for doing it considering he was carjacked, put in the boot, driven around and threatened at gunpoint while filming To The Ends of The Earth. It must have brought back some unpleasant memories, but he's such a pro. Sorry, that was a rather serious digression from the discussion. As you were. That's the only contact I have with what's going on, and that's more than enough.

So if Benedict ends up being a guest again, is it too much to hope for a photo op with him in the trunk of Mrs Hudson's Astin Martin? (I know it is, but this is where my mind is at while I try to avoid massive spoilers and all the angst and in-fighting going on in all my usual fandom social media right now.)

Depending on whether my husband comes this time or not, I may be looking for a roommate for the Friday-Monday at the con hotel. I'm really excited at the prospect of Martin possibly being there. The way the ticket packages are worded has me hopeful. Maybe the restrictions on size and numbers might be more enticing. And seriously, why hasn't David Nellist been a guest yet?

Actually I checked on the website and it says it's from series 4 episode 1, which I need to watch for a second time. They will also have another set from series 4 which will be free to photograph (says, 'secret set' ) and the 221b living room and door again. :) *******spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen TST yet*** Where Sherlock meets with Mary before she runs? Where she hands him a letter that makes him pass out. It's kinda catacombish.
