I've just upgraded to Platinum
In the email I got today it said to bring all my tickets with me from my original Silver to Gold and now to Platinum. When I upgraded to Gold it said to disregard my original ticket and typical me I now can't find my silver ticket email. As I know how rubbish I am I did forward it to my sister and a friend when I first got it so am hoping between them I'll have a copy.

My itinerary is almost identical to evilfairie's, and I'm staying in the same place too, so I'll be doing the same things, and will be looking to go to the preview and get dinner before the party.I'll def be up for meeting on the Friday :) I'm staying at the Ibis across from the Excel and am due to get there about 3pm, so am looking to register between 4pm and 5pm and then I'll be around ready for the preview at 6pm :)
What time do you guys think is good to meet at the Watson section.. 7? (Do we have times for the party yet?)
7 sounds a good time to me, gives people time to have a look around other exhibits/orient themselves. The party times are '8 till late' but I'm guessing you can turn up any time after 8.

Yeah, I was going to play it by ear and see if anything was open within the Excel or if not have a look around the area. :) I don't need anything fancy, just hopefully tasty

I don't arrive into London until 2pm so I'll probably be about after registration so am happy to loiter with intent around the Watson exhibit. :) I do need to find somewhere to grab some dinner before heading to the party later too.

This will be my first ever convention, so the whole experience is new to me. As a woman in her early forties who doesn't really do the fandom thing, I fear I might be a bit out of place! I'm coming on a platinum package, as I didn't want to miss out on anything, and I have a friend coming on a weekend pass, who has bought a couple of tickets for talks and photos, but it does mean I shall be doing lots of things on my own. So I'm hoping to meet lots of other Sherlock fans, and really immerse myself in the world of Sherlock that I love so much. I'm very excited by all the talks, and the opportunity to meet some of the people who inhabit the characters of whom I am so fond, and especially the behind-the-scenes geniuses who make the films look so delicious. Arwel Wyn Jones is my hero!
Well I'm in my mid forties and I do the fandom thing. I'm on my own and have a platinum package too. So when you're apart from your friend, you can come find me!
I'm also mid forties too so you're def not alone in this. I've just sent off a request to upgrade again to Platinum this time as I got a lovely end of year bonus just in time :) I'm hoping to meet up with people as well to make the weekend very exciting as to be able to discuss all things Sherlock with like minded people will make a nice change. :)

I presume it's ok to upgrade for a second time ? I've just gotten a bigger than I thought bonus this month. I've already upgraded from silver to gold and would like to upgrade platinum. I am going to send off a request when I get home from work so just thought I'd double check.
As long as there's still Platinum tickets left: no problem.

I've got myself a gold ticket and I'm so excited to immerse myself in all things Sherlock. I first got into Sherlock Holmes whilst watching the Jeremy Brett series on ITV and then reading the canon. I fell in love with the cleverness of the BBC series. :)
I'm especially looking forward to meeting Benedict (of course) and Rupert, Mark and Louise and have my fingers crossed that Steven will be doing photo shoots too but really I'm happy to meet anyone connected with the show. I'm super excited for the talks too, it's really going to be a special weekend.
I'm going alone and this will be my first convention. I also am not cos-playing but am interested to seeing everyone dressed up. I have a couple of ideas for the parties, I bought myself a GET OUT, I NEED TO GO TO MY MIND PALACE t-shirt for the saturday and I'll be wearing a very tame Irene Idler based outfit on the Friday night, hopefully I'll get the courage to chat to people

Can you not pay with a debit card?
I'm presuming when they say you can pay by 'credit card' this covers 'debit cards' too.

Apols as I might be reading what you are saying incorrectly but as far as I am aware Mark is signing for everyone, it's just that as a lead guest he's only going to be automatically included in the top packages, not in the random allocation for gold or included in the Silver. In the FAQ's it specifically says that Benedict is ONLY signing for VIP and Plats and doesn't say anything about Mark.
I was under the impression lead guests will only sign for the top 2 packages. In the gold package you get pre signed auto's of the lead guests. This would be pretty pointless if you could get in person auto's of them (bar Benedict).
My understanding was the same as Raylenth, it's only Benedict's auto that is only available to VIP and Platinum and I think they can only have one each.

Yeah I realise that, I was just going by the price, if Mark is a lead guest and his is £20 hopefully most other prices will be around this or less? Just conjecture of course.

Yes, the guests are signing as well. Autographs are not pre-sold, this is why the posts pretty much all are covering photos only.
When will the autograph prices be posted?
Do not take this as what it will be as obviously it's a different show, but I've found in the past at shows like LFCC and the Collectormania's that the auto prices are usually similar to the photo shoot prices.
Also just a reminder that the auto prices are PER signature.
Though it does state that Mark Gatiss's autograph is £20 and Sue Vertue's/Arwel Jones are £10 so this should give us a ball park idea.

I have a gold package and registered (twice!) for email updates and, apart from confirmation that my gold ticket was booked, I have not received one email with any updates what so ever.
Would appreciate some definite clarity on what is AND what isn't included on the gold package before photo shoots and autos go on sale as there seems to be differences of opinion on what is/isn't included.

Gold ticket holders get all the talks and one photoshoot with all the guests who are doing them. We also get 5 pre assigned autographs but won't find out who these are with until we pick up our reg packs on the Friday (or Saturday if you can't make the preview) So basically you don't need to buy any of the photoshoots and talks that are going on sale tomorrow though you can buy extra photoshoots if you want them (ie, you can get an extra Benedict photoshoot so you'll have 2, one with your gold ticket and the one you purchase. Hope this makes sense. The email updates don't tell you what is included in your package, just that they have announced guests etc. I just found out all this info by reading through all the threads on the forum.

The talks and Photoshoots so far come to £400 and that's not including Lara as her price is TBC. My Gold ticket is a bargain, super happy I upgraded.

This has been asked in another thread, sorry I can't remember which one and the answer is Yes, all paid talks :)
