  1. That all sounds great! Are you guys in the comic zone or in the traders zone?
  2. Dan Slott is signing at the Limited Edition Comix stand... You'd be best to contact them to find out exactly where they'll be. Last year I assumed they'd be in the comics hall where stan lee was but in fact they were in the traders section so i ended up missing out on a sketch from Chad Hardin... their facebook is: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Limited-Edition-American-Comic-Shop-wwwltd-edition-comixcom/141468539229445
  3. I was thinking about asking Robert Englund to strangle me or something...
  4. I truly hope so, but I doubt that with the range of guests they have this year I dont believe there will be any more announcements..... But I truly hope Im wrong about it. I really hope so too.... got my fingers crossed for Billy Zane to add to the BTTF reunion and bump up the Twin Peaks quota!
  5. nooooooooo! he was one of the three i was coming for... oh well, more money to spend on the day!
  6. Yeah, those two appear to be on different servers (or whatever) and they're blocked at my workplace for some reason. ahhh. that makes sense.... i'll have to try it when i get home.... glad to know i'm not the only one wasting time at work though! :)
  7. anyone else having issues seeing level 1 & 2? All i'm getting is this...
  8. Just wondered if anyone knew of any con parties or get-togethers on Friday night?
  9. No Problem. Here's a cropped version... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ILCPDhGLIBWFNSOUFWa1dUX1U/edit?usp=sharing
  10. Hey everyone, I recently produced this little flyer about comic conventions for all the newbies out there. Hope you like it! EDIT by QS: it's not easy for me to remove this as you clearly put a lot of effort in this and I think it is a fabulous idea. But unfortunately the forum rules says stall holders can't advertise on here, so part of your flyer is problematic. If you wish to repost without the last couple of lines please feel free to do so.
  11. according to the site the following comic creators are going: Nick Percival Lee Sullivan Staz Johnson Al Ewing Lew Stringer Dave Taylor Ian Edgington
  12. It's usual policy for such events. You don't have to buy the ticket in advance, if I was only going for one guest (particularly one who won't be mega-busy) then I would hold on and pay on the day just in case they cancelled. unfortunately i'm travelling from sheffield and back in one day and have to pre-book transport etc. The bus barely arrives in time so buying on the day isnt really an option as i wouldnt get in the con until far too late and then have to leave probably before my VT number has been called to get transport home. Am just glad i havent booked a hotel this time. At least i'll get my photo shoot money back i guess...
  13. More great customer service from Showmasters I see...
  14. She was the only reason I was coming to the convention. You said photoshoot tickets will be automatically be refunded but how do I get a refund for my actual ticket?
  15. I've explained this a couple of posts above. This system is open to abuse. Then basically the first 500 people in line get everything, no matter if they want it or not. At sales events in the US people get in line early just to sell their low numbers. No one wants things going that way. Okay, I get that. that makes sense and is a valid reason.... but the system in place is still open to the same abuse...
  16. what's wrong with just having one entrance queue and having guests pass a desk on entry where they are asked which VTs they want? That way it truly is first come first serve. I agree with tony jedi - the majority of customers are coming to meet several of the guests advertised and its unfair to expect them to choose. I think its disgusting that this sort of information isn't even on the official website and I had to stumble on to it on the forum by accident. Showmasters are all too happy to publicise all the great guests attending and take money based on this but fail to let customers know what's going on. for one wouldn't have bought a ticket if I'd know that the whole day was just going to be a farce with things spread over 2 buildings. And even though this has now been announced on the forum, still the official website says the event is taking place in EC2 with no reference to a second building. There are going to be a lot of people that turn up who aren't even aware there is a forum and are going to be incredibly disappointed/frustrated.
  17. Hi, I am coming to LFCC on Saturday & have an earlybird ticket. I was wanting to get a VQ ticket for Stan Lee and for Carrie Fisher & several other film guests but now you've announced that they are in completely separate buildings with separate queues - what are we supposed to do?? I’m sure I can’t be the only one who this will affect. If we join the Stan Lee queue on arrival, then by the time we get in, get a VQ ticket then get back to the other building and join the back of the other queue we’ll end up with a VQ ticket for Carrie Fisher (or any other film guest) way up in the high numbers despite actually being on site from really early in the morning! Please could you advise. Thanks in advance!
