okay so i have a wreck this journal (if you have no idea what i'm talking about, google it!) and apart from a few pages i've barely touched it, so i was thinking of maybe starting to take it to cons with me.
as this is the next con i'm going to, what do you reckon would be my best option for getting it nicely wrecked. obviously pages like 'take it in the shower with you' might be awkward at a con, but some of the more artsy pages i reckon people would enjoy ruing. so how am i best to go about it. ideally i'd like to just leave it somewhere but i'm not sure i'd be trusting enough to do that... haha.

to be honest, i think that LFCC is just such a massive looking event that all of the organisers time will be taken up with that at the moment. they seem to be announcing new guests for that quite regularly so i think once that's been and gone then they'll be able to concentrate on other events.

so which vendors normally come to CMG? i'm kind of excited about going round all the stalls, but as a newbie i have no idea who will be there, beside one guy who i can't help but buy things from so i might have to avoid him haha. :)
Some of the stuff that was on sale last year was incredible. As it was my first time at one of these events I wasn't quite prepared for how much I would want to buy. This year I will be better prepared
yea i'm fully prepared for ending up spending a fortune. mainly on things i have absolutely not use for but can't walk away from the stall without buying.

yea wordpress or blogger. possibly even livejournal as you can join communities there and add your posts to the communities - assuming people still use it, i've not been on there for a while.
which ever you use should be easy to link with social media to promote your posts.

I'd also like to see someone like Lucy Griffiths (Robin Hood, True Blood) or ANY of the West Wing cast.
omg yes! and sam troughton. or in fact just any of the hood cast.

ah i have the 1-4 box set and my dad bought the 5th one and gave it to since i had the rest of the collection. i might wait until 7 is out and get 6 and 7 at the same time. saves on postage then.

i am on the left. on my tip toes. i can old wish my legs were long enough to equal those of jared padalecki.
I thought that was alfie boe on the right. rofl! I really do need a new pair of glasses.

so i watched this film the other day and having not really seen any star trek (beside the movie before this one) recently i quite enjoyed it. i only ever saw bits and bobs of star trek when my dad was watching it as i was growing up. i started working my way through the original series on lovefilm some time last year but then ended up watching something else. watching the films has made me want to go back and start watching them again.
the only thing that did make me laugh was went the back of enterprise was blown off while they were at warp speed and the folk fell out like they were falling off a bus moving at 30mph. one of them even had time to grab a railing! hahaha.

sooo this will be my first collectormania event...
any advice for a newbie going alone? :)
you'll be fine, just dont believe the 'everyones friendly' stuff. Last year I went alone the first day then took my wee boy (dressed as Iron Man) the 2nd day. The venue was mobbed, staff were was great, vendors superb but tons of visitors were grumpy, rude and honked of BO. Way to go on the stereotype killin, folks!
My buddy is coming up from Croydon this year as he is just getting into Comics which is all kinds of awesomes for me
If you can, grab a bud or meet someone from here, I'd say it would make your day/days a lot better.
I fired over a wee follow on Twitter, there should be some chat there on the lead-up
Haha yea, i've been to a few engineering exhibits with my dad before and i gathered from them that most people tend to keep to themselves and push and shove and apparently don't wash. obviously cmg will be a bit different as you don't get the cosplay side of stuff at engineer exhibits and i guess if you're gonna cosplay you're gonna expect to be approached and spoken to.
i'll see what happens. :) aaah wondered who the new random follower i'd gained was followed back.

love big bang theory! have to admit i haven't seen the latest series though as i missed a couple of eps early on and never got round to catching up so i decided to just wait on the DVD/ see if C4 repeat them.

really loved reading the books so far and i'm SO impatient for the next book. my original plan was to read all the books (as in the full series, including books not yet written) before i watched the TV show so i didn't have the tv characters in my head when i was reading. but i failed on that and bought the first 3 dvds a few months back and watched them.
prefer the books but i have to say the fact i've read the books and most of my friends haven't does make it difficult having conversations with them. i remember being mightily relieved a few weeks ago when a certain episode aired

The Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan (and Brandon Sanderson) is probably my all time favourite.
Harry Potter Series, obviously.
I'm slowly working my way through Terry Pratchett's discworld stuff, some i enjoy others i feel like i'm forcig myself to read but on the whole i like them.
I quite enjoyed Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series too. -
when i first started watching i was all for sam. then a few seasons in i switched to dean. currently rewatching the whole thing and i have to say, i'm now like "why did i prefer sam?" i think it's just the fact that i know what happens in the 'future' making me question that.

delorean and impala! i very recently stood next to an impala but didn't get my photo taken with, which i now regret.
i used to love brum as well when i was kid. vaguely recall seeing one somewhere, probably a replica, when i was younger (possibly one of the transport museums). i always wanted a ride in brum. and post man pats van (with jess included).

"Bruce Forsyth was" i actually just had to check he hadn't died without me hearing about it.
I forgot to add on to my list I once tripped Noddy holder up on stage whilst meeting him. I was probably about 7 at the time and he was in the local pantomime and in those days one kid from each of the local brownies/rainbows/cubs etc went up on stage and this year i was chosen to go. anyway, he chatted to me and then told me to move back but i stood on his mic cable so when he tried to kick it out the way he got his foot caught and tripped over. haha. i had no idea who he was at the time.
