  1. He's also mentioned on the SFCC radio advert that's played on Hallam FM.....
  2. I don't know what her reasons are for cancelling and checking this topic, no-one has had a negative thing to say about her or her non appearance. I was voicing my disappoint at not being able to meet her and what a disapointment the con is shaping up to be in terms of guests. I don't see that anyone has been mean unless it's in another thread
  3. I'm gutted about this, her and John-Rhys Davies were the only ones I have been bothered about meeting, I'm afraid this comic con is fast becomming a bit MEH! for me, not trying to be negative and I'll still be there to give support so that it can grow but it's not the big bang that I thought we were going to start with - oh well. atleast there are stalls.
  4. That is awesome! my Saturday afternoons when i were a lad consisted of Knight rider and then the A-Team with my dad, I can't wait to see these vehicles. These announcements have made my day
  5. I'll do whatever you need for me to do to spread the word, I'll post online and on social media, stand in the street with a sandwich board or wearing a stormtroopers outfit (you'd have to provide the outfit and let me keep it!) then sign me up, I've been wanting a comic-con in Sheffield for sooooooo long so I'll do anything to make it successful!
  6. Hi everyone, I've set up a new group on Facebook if you are interested in joining as a place to trade action figure and stuff, search on facebook for "Action Figures and Collectibles for sale: South Yorkshire"
  7. good news, I'm REALLY looking forward to the event, and seeing who else will be coming because the non Dr Who (not a Whovian at all) people coming so far are great!
  8. Morning all, I tweeted Elizabeth Henstridge yesterday about her interest in coming to Sheffield's first ever FCC and this was her reply (just incase that picture doesn't work) She said "When is it?? I'd like to!" Does anyone know how we can get this to the attention of the powers that be? Unlike for some reason that photo isn't working but you can find me on twitter @chriseason0628 - that isn't a plea for new followers but I just think it's really cool that she replied and would like to come, we could get an Agent of Shield!!! If anyone knows how to get that picture to work could you post it on here for me?
  9. me too! I've already sold my bike, playstation and football boots to build up a treasure chest to come armed with to buy plenty of merchandise and comics.....

  12. it's more subjective than weird, but thats the case for any geek really isn't it? I'd love to meet Will Patton but some wouldn't know who he is but it would mean something to me.
  13. what about Diana Rigg from Game Of Thrones shes from Doncaster and since when is Brian Blessed Yorkshire? Yeah Diana Rigg would be a good choice! Brian Blessed was born in Mexborough!
  14. All really cool people then? SFCC W will be my first con, really looking forward to it.
  15. Ford and Spielberg?!? That's awesome, definitely beats Tony Christie!
  16. Aside from footballers that I'm sure you're not bothered about, the most famous person I've met is Tony Christie, he was nice and polite, he used to own my wifes nans apartment and was back visiting Sheffield so wanted to visit his old home. I'm sure most can beat this......

  18. that would be a great idea, since Hammill is in UK filming, maybe a double bill or a read along of some dialogue from the show, that would be brilliant!
